I am so sad to see this story coming to an end, but I love how it has flowed and how far they've come together. You have done a blissfully wonderful job! And, yay for them getting to engaged!! I know there's a bit more to go, but thank you for every syllable! HG4eva

I feel so relieved to see that Hermione is making quite some progress in resolving her issues with her parents. I did not, however, like Charlotte's character. She seemed pretty cold for a mother who is meeting her daughter after a long time, no matter how tensed the relations. They also come out as disapproving of Draco and Hermione's relationship. But that's natural parental concern. At the same time, I think that Hermion's father is absolutely wrong in thinking that Draco has ulterior motives for helping his daughter. After all, he was there for her when everybody else had all but abandoned her, including her own family. But I do think he's right about Hermione trying to stand on her own feet.
    Hope you update soon!!

Amazing story, Cpetnm! I LOVE the evolving and loving relationship between Draco and Hermione. It's such a loving and heartfelt story. Nothing better than seeing a Dragon in love :-). I also like your realistic treatment of Hermione's interaction with her parents. I always felt there would be a great deal of betrayal they would have to overcome even though their daughter had the very best intentions to protect them. Thanks for such a great story. Looking forward to the next one!

I am so glad the two of them have come to a place where they're both thinking about a future together. I know Hermione will sometimes need some soul-bolstering, I think Draco is the man to take on the challenge. I also love that he's learned about the 3-dimensional woman she is, and not the 2-dimensional one in his head, and accepted her for all she is. I have hope that she will have a relationship with her parents again, though it will never be the same. And, I am thrilled she decided for herself that she wouldn't let anyone else run her life! She's taking it back. :-) Thank you, HG4eva

I'm both pleased that Hermione's parents are speaking with Hermione again yet disappointed that they continue to condescend her for things of which they cannot possibly fathom while displaying a gross impulse to control her decisions without any insight into Hermione's character, troubles, or even what might be best for her. It's like they have this false idea of whom Hermione is and are making choices for her based on that.
In light of that I feel Hermione and Draco, especially Draco, behaved exemplary in response.

While I believe neither should feel pressured to progress the future possibilities of their relationship Because of the Grangers' rather rude pushes for traditional commitment I also feel that neither should let those words HINDER speaking about it. Unfortunately it seems that they're both holding back their thoughts and feelings on marriage from each other at least partially because of what Hermione's parents said. :sighs: I can understand Why... but I do hope they talk about it soon and before it becomes a strain on their relationship.

Loved the morning scene and the perfectly contented bliss in each other Draco and Hermione jointly experienced. Reiterating: now if only they can tell the other so they can Know they both feel the same.

    Thanks so much for writing.

I'm so in love with this story. These characters are so believable. I could see this being canon if J.K. Had had our Dramione shipping hearts. That being said, I can't wait to see how Hermione reacts when she realizes that she isn't just a phase Draco is going through. He's said he loves her, she's said she loves him...they've told each other as much; however, she still seems reluctant to believe he isn't gonna let her go at some point. I'm so looking forward to her reaction when the reality of his love hits her in the heart and between the eyes!!! Keep up the amazing work...I'll sit here and anxiously await the next installment!

Yup, still improving on the intimate bits. You shouldn't feel at all shy about it.

The Grangers are rather old fashioned ...

Lets hope Hermione's parents never fall into one of her pensieves about the war; I don't think they could handle the result. They are making good head way, but there are still some bumps in the road that they need to go over. Draco now understands more (does this mean he will let her have a job?), and I expect he will be popping the question (or something close to that) soon. Although, while Hermione would love to share her life with him, I am uncertain what her true response will be.

By the way, I am impress by how you have keeping the realistic view in the whole story. Great Job!

Since you seemed to have gotten a kick out of (literally) baby brother, I'm gonna give some more fun facts about my siblings. I have 8 altogether in the following order. An older step-sister (by 4 years), an older step-brother (by 2 years), another older step-sister (by 10 days), a younger brother that is all mine (by 1 year), a younger step-sister (by 4 years), a younger half-sister (by 11 years), another younger half-sister (by 18, pushing 19 years), and a (very) younger half-brother (by 28, pushing 29 years). In my mom's house I'm the second youngest, and in my dad's house I'm the oldest. So, do I have the Weasleys beat or what?

With all due respect to Hermione's parents.... there was no 'other solution' in the real world. Them moving to the United States under their real names would not have taken them off the target lists. Oblivating them and sending them to Australia under pseudonyms did. They need to realize that Hermione did what was necessary to keep them alive and drop the whole righteous anger act.
