This was wonderful. Your attention to detail is staggering and your Snape's voice stirs something deep within me. He is very, very convincing indeed. Beautifully rich.

Absolutely gorgeous imagery - I love the introspection that you give to my favorite character, and I can't wait to see where the story goes. Very magical, lyrical, and engaging and I appreciate that it moves at its own pace when so many others seem to rush. BTW - especially after reading this, I am blown away by the kind things you have said about my own writing and am honored to have such talent to offer words of guidance. I am glad to have come across your work and now I can't wait to read the rest. My best wishes to you.

Wonderful new chapter. I especially love your description of Snape's psyche, and also the lovely extended metaphor in the closing section. Brava!

There are times when art trips me up; when, spellbound and overtaken, images or words or notes capture me and shake me to my core. It is a joy unlike any other. And, much to my sadness, it is something that I rarely experience. I spend my days looking for it in books or music -- that one, fleeting moment when I realize bliss can be had in the simplest of expressions.
When I read your writing I am, quite simply, awed. This is not some passable, everyday-fiction writing. This is pure and unadulturated talent thees oes of which I have never seen in these forums. This is the writing I aspire to, the writing that I would give my right arm to produce myself. It is poetry. It is genius.
Please continue to wr Do Do not lose heart if it is not recognized by the masses for the perfection that it is. You are too big for this forum, too great for these boxed html frontiers. And I will tell you this until you sicken from hearing it repeated: you must move on from here. You are denying the literate public from a brilliant author.

    I mean what I say.

And I will forever be your fan.

Oh Jesus! I'm dying here. And crying too (and that's something as I'm a bit of a stoic). Why do I do this to myself? I read this at lunch while at work. Powerful! ove overwhelmingly emotional without sappiness or overdone sentimentality. Z., this was beyond fantastic, a slight departure from the breath-stopping suspense of your last chapters but no less visceral. I still feel like I've just stepped out of an emotional wind tunnel. You outdo yourself with each chapter you write. There is obvioiusly no ceiling for you. I am looking forward to the next chapter with great anticipation. And shame on you. You told me I wouldn't need a Valium after reading this, but you didn't warn me that I'd need Kleenex. Brava!

This is very original. To take what I am assuming, from a position ofpletplete ignorance, to be a traditional Icelandic mythology and weave it into the Potterverse with such beauty and skill is a wonderful thing.
Your writing is of an very high standard and I absolutely love your use of extended metaphor, for example describing his processing of his memories as an alchemical procedure resulting always in lead. That whole passage is so poignant. As indeed is the whole story so far.
You explore his psyche beautifully in this completely sympathetic characterisation,. This is my sort of Snape, and I salute you.

I'm still here, and have been meaning to answer your email lo these many weePleaPlease do not be discouraged because you can't work on the story any faster--your fiction, as someone else said much better than I, is a gift to us, and we'll wait happily (if impatiently) until you have the time to give to it. (It's not like you're getting paid, after all.) It's an excellent story and I _will_ be following it till the end.

This is fantastic. The plot is compelling and the characterizations are dead on. I hope you continue it soon.

This is such marvelous writing, but absolutely gut-wrenching to read. I am insidiously drawn into each chapter, knowing full well that I will come out of it absolutely light-headed from a massive adrenaline rush and pounding heart. Well done once again!

Engrossing, wracking, lyrical...you pull the reader through your tale, riding on Snape's shoulder like a captive ghost, feeling what he feels.

Please continue this story. It is worthy of more reviews, and much praise!

    Blessed be,
    Dame Niamh (Niamh Costello)

This is absolutely stunning and your use of imagery and visual acuity is just breathtakingly well done. The idea to actual give Severus a real hairshirt, as against the figurative hairshirt he often finds himself encumbered with, is a rare stroke of forethought and coupled with the mystery of the Norn Coven and what place they have at Hogwarts, will prove to be a riveting journey.
am lam looking forward to the continuation of a very intriguing story.
