This is excellent and I love the psychological drama of the inner turmoil. It is very well done. The mystery and tension of Snape's voyeurism is just spot-on and I was, in the initial chapters left wondering how Harry and Ron could abandon Hermione to Draco.

I love the quirk of Hermione being able to sense his presence, the fact that Draco is too dim to notice and the whispered realisation that she never really knew him.

Her precision and concentration over something as simple as a cup of coffee and the resultant knowledge that Snape has watched for so long that he knows her movements, is actually quite an initmate moment.

Just wonderful. I cannot believe this has so few reviews. It's well written, well plotted and addictive.

I noted only only one typo and that was Slyvern instead of Slytherin, but it was merely a small point in what promises to be a lucky find on my part.

Wow! This is really good writing! I really feel Snape's torture of wanting a girl he may never have! I hope you can update soon! Sev's going to be able to save Hermione right? He can't let his lady love drown! ;c)

hmmm....i'm definitely intrigued. can't wait to see where this dark path leads, other than to the edge of the lake. and you're extremely adept at guilt, might i add, noting the 3000 hits and comparatively few comments. of course, i'm extremely susceptible to guilt trips as my mother israveravel agent for them.

What a truly evil cliffhanger! I love the passion with which you describe his feelings. He's a very intense character and it makes perfect sense that his feelings would be equally intense. I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for an update.

    My dear Soverysita ~

This is a wonderful fic and I am enjoying it thoroughly. I love your characterization of Snape and your description of his obsessive feelings. His helpless longing for Hermione is quite beautifully written. I am REALLY looking forward to updates of this story, my e-mail addy is above and I would love to be on an update list for this, or any other fic you craft. Keep writing!!

He probably would have developed frostbite from the cold, not gangrene. Gangrene is what you get when open wounds get infected.
