Awesome adventure and great Dramione.  I love the new creature (angelus) and your unique take on vampires

She knew that the "war is brewing" and still she went for a "walk" and even helped her muggle friend in a bookshop. For an intelligent person, she definitely is dumb. If she feared the safety of her parents then why the hell did she go lrancing around? She should have put wards that would protect and alarm her if her house is under attack. But no, stupid Hermione, was too dumb to think of it. Constant Vigilance my ass.

I was with you all the way up to chapter 29. I loved the fact that you didn't have Draco declare his undying and long suppressed love for Hermione. I loved the fact that you subtly developed their relationship - though it was obvious where it was headed. I really liked that there was no attempt to throw them in bed, then have the regret, and inevitable how-do-we-cope-with-this that seems to be prevalent in a lot of Dramione stories.

Then, suddenly, with no prior build-up, Hermione's talking about revenge. Had you built this as an undercurrent throughout, the sudden inclusion of her intent to seek vengeance for her parents' death would not be quite such a hindrance to my suspension of disbelief. As it is, the only indication I had that you intended to revisit her parents' horrifying demise was the statement made by 'the Angelus' in her last visit to Draco that she needed to let her parents' death go and move on.

It wasn't something you'd touched on for quite a while - the story had moved beyond that point. So I was rather taken aback when suddenly Hermione's talking about revenge. I'm not saying that she shouldn't have had some further reaction to their deaths (I was rather expecting there to be some climactic moment of taunting at her next meeting with Bellatrix, much like Harry in the Half-Blood Prince). But I was not expecting this, nor does it seem to fit at all with how the story was progressing.

The sudden diversion to this theme derailed me, as far as reading the story. I'm not sure I can make it through another chapter (I skimmed 30, and have not yet touched upon 31). I daresay I'm too curious to see if you ever answer the questions about Draco's motivations and Moody's affinity for him (which you've only thus far alluded to) to just let the story lie without finishing it.

I will say that I was enthralled by the tale; creature fics are rarely completed for this 'ship, and this one was progressing very nicely.

Regardless, thank you for sharing the story. Happy writing to you.

great story. A really origional idea and i thoroughly enjoyed it. Kinda confused though but how many students went missing from the Italian school as it started out as four but only three were rescued and mentioned from then on. Anyways as i said amazing story and i'm intrigued as to your other works (,which you have hopefully written about the couple).

I thoroughly enjoyed this! Came across it while looking at another of your stories. This is actually the first HP fanfic I've read (for various reasons) and I was so enthralled by it that I just kept reading! The relationship you created btw Hermion/Draco was so natural/unforced, which I greatly appreciated. The ending was a bit abrupt, but otherwise I found your writing extremely well executed. Nicely done!

Oh my gosh this was amazing! I'm going to be honest, I don't usually review, but this was just wonderful! I was laughing and crying, and I've been neglecting homework in favor of it. I just can't say enough good about it.

Hi. I just wanted to tell you how much I love this story. I was wondering if you had ever thought of writing a sequel to it? It just seems like there would be some things that you could expand on/build from, such as the extreme amount of magic that Draco was able to do in the forest while fighting Blain and friends that first time, and whether or not Hermione ever masters (or even goes back to using) her Angelus powers. I'd really love to see a story around Hermione and Draco's lives after leaving Hogwarts and becoming Arours. Let me know if you ever do plan a sequel -- I think it'd be fabulous.

    Great job =)

i had read this story a few years ago and thought it was amazing. shortly after that i fell out of reading fanfiction and got rid of everything to do with ff. when i did get back into it, i always kept an eye out for your story. i could never find it when i actively searched for it. last week i was randomly reading stories and clicked the link for No Longer Helpless. Three chapters in i realized that No Longer Helpless was the story i had always thought about when it came to fanfiction. i was really lucky to find your story again.

No Longer Helpless is my favorite draco/hermione fanfiction.

    any chance for a sequel?

Wonderful! I was entranced with how the story was drawn out and the complexities that each of the characters began to reveal. I've always felt that Rowling left a lot out when it came to the personalities of Hermione and Draco, actually even Ron at times, and this explained them all. Sure, Draco was a little fluffy...but it's all in good fun! ^^ I love the Angelus and Bain was ingenius. Good job...nah, Great job!!
