This story was pretty intense. For some reason, I cried around the last 4 chapters. I guess I felt bad for Draco especially when H said she didn’t love him. Then H had to go run to Harry just to validate her feelings for Draco. Draco’s behavior was difficult to grasp or accept but it’s understandable coming from a pure blooded family in which his father was domineering and violent. I feel bad for what Draco and his mother went through and what they had to cope with. I’m glad Lucius died already cuz I don’t think Draco and his mother would survive another day living with him. Draco was very difficult with Dumbledore that I was afraid Dumbledore was going to expel him. My favorite/funny line was Ch. 17:

    ‘Oh, and Granger’

    ’Yes?’

    ’Your book is upside down.’

    😆

    Thanks for sharing.

Good angst . Really draws put the pain and drama. Too much talking.

I think the author furgets about HP magic. No marauder map, invisibility cloak, legilemency, augamenti, etc when they would fit well in the story.

But I like that the author is attempting some consent and a redemption arc for Draco

This isn't just a DarkDraco trope, it's a violent, rapist, disturbed Draco who makes excuses and blanes his (dead) father for all his bad decisions/ behavior . Weak Hermione. Ineffectual golden trip. So disturbing. I'm afraid a teen will read this and romanticize it, like "she says no but she really wants it"

Why would HermiobH like this version of Draco at all? She should just incarcarate him and humiliate the predjudiced wanker

I love this story. The idea that she can take him from a death eaters son to someone almost innocent is incredible. The only thing that I didn't care for that much is that. Some parts were to explainy. I know that's not a word but I could have skipped over some parts of it and still understood the story. Other than that it was a wonderfully written and captivating story.

Hi Laura! (I think I recall you were also named Laura... I'm not sure...)

    Let's start again.

Hi Kissherdraco! Hope you are doing fine and that everything is good with you.

I've been a huge fan of your story for years now and I was just wondering... will you ever post the ending for it? If not, could you at least give me a sneak peek to how it will end. I've been dying to know for years now :)

    Thank-you!

That was the most angst I have ever had in a fan fiction. I love the emotions and the drama. The plot was magnificent. I would love to read more of your work. You could write a novel with your talent.

Wow what a ride! This was quite the story.

It was incredibly well written, there is no question about that. You have a remarkable talent for writing and it's rare to find quite a gem like this on AFFO. This story was emotionally heavy in the oppressive sense. Draco and Hermione's relationship was intense, unstable, angry, depressing, toxic, hateful, passionate, spiteful, and lustful all rolled up in one ball.

I'm really having a hard time conveying my accurate feelings about the story because on the one hand, I absolute loved it. I loved your writing style and the intensity of the plot but on the other hand, the plot itself and the DM/HG relationship left me feeling very uncomfortable. The story absolutely engaged me from the beginning and I have spent a lot of time thinking about motives and actions of your characters in my free time, so it has definitely touched me tremendously. However, about 2/3rds through, I just had to take a break. The story was just too emotionally exhausting to read straight through. Everyone was just so angry and so unhappy that it started to wear on me a bit mentally. Please do not take this as a criticism because it is NOT. I am going through personal things in my life atm that are stressful so I think I am just a bit extra sensitive to extreme angst right now.

It was a great story in its own right. I really liked your interpretation of Draco's character. I thought it was fair and believable. However in reality (canon), I do not believe Lucius was a sadistic wife/child beating bastard. The Malfoys loved each other tremendously. Now that said, Lucius was quite possibly a sadistic bastard as a Death Eater so I absolutely understand where your characterization of him comes from. Draco is damaged by his upbringing in canon and I loved how you expanded upon it and gave it life. Your Hermione was good. But her character, in general (in canon, I mean), is pretty straight-forward and you did a good job with her hot/cold emotions/mentality. Even though your Harry was quite violent, I thought it was actually a good characterization of him. Harry can be hot-headed, he's definitely impulsive and has a strong sense of justice. He has exceptionally strong feelings about Draco, as Draco does for him (this is the crux of Drarry), and Harry sometimes just can't control those emotions or himself when it involves Draco. I could absolutely see Harry flipping his lid when it comes to Draco and Hermione, reacting to it all with anger and violence. I loved the mature Ron! You hardly ever see that! Great job there!

Anyway, like it said, it was one heck of a story. It came to me highly recommended and I can absolutely see why.
