This was more than a fun read - it was a beautiful ride of joy, angst, and smut. Thank-you so much for sharing this story.

It's good to know that finally I have confirmed my hunch that fucking stupid mudblood was the one who obliviated Draco. If she was the epitome of goodness, she wouldn't have abandoned him in a strip bar...I mean your reasoning author was a load of SHIT! She obliviated herself but she did not even leave clues than jud a piece of note in a trunk. What if she never opened it because she was a scaredy cat?! Yup, geniuses can be stupid too.

Fucking Mudblood...she is so selfish. Draco is losing his mind and she still preferred not to confess because silly mudblood does not have anybody and she's afraid that she'll lose him. Of course, she keeps rationalizing that she loves him and wants to keep him. If you really live a person, you'll do anything to help him ease his burden..like fucking preventing him to go insane.

Friggin awesome story!!! One thing I find interesting is this story is almost aling the lines of Oedipus in its process. A twisted homage to that classic of finding justice &... the answers. Sexy but almost creepy.

Absolutely fantastic story! The details were superb and the characterizations were fabulously done. Luna was a bit more... Energetic than I normally envision her... but she was more background anyway so no big deal there.

I loved how the plot circled on itself. Really loved how Draco listed through his forgotten memories of himself alongside his new ones as Damien King to decide which traits he liked and wanted to keep. If only it were that easy... but still it's nice to see. Thrilled he retained his muggle best friend. That was exceptionally touching. How did he reenter the wizarding world though? Just pop back up "oh I'm not dead" and things work out? O_o I can comprehend how you'd want to skim over that though: this is a romantic fic and going too much into That would deviate too much from the pair in question most likely as well as probably causing a shift in your writing style for this piece. It worked... just with a lot of holes and questions which although I don't Need to have answered I can't help wondering.

WAS sorry not to see Neville anywhere, but can't be helped. ;)

Glad there was a happy ending after all. Seeing your author's note about alternate ending and epilogue I was worried the good ending would be somewhere I didn't go!

    Thanks so much for writing!

I've finished reading A Pound Of Flesh, and was never disappointed. The attention to (and impressive knowledge of!) canon secondary characters adds so much depth to a story! Lovely Granger (for once), very true to herself I think, and amazing Draco! So far from the fanon clich

Holy Batman! I have only read five chapters so far but I need to express my admiration. The construction and syntax are flawless. I almost didn't read past the first paragraphs, I'm not into AU and OOC, but, thankfully, your skilful writing hooked me up.
Can't wait to see what happens next !

I am a rather industrious reader of fanfics, and yours is one of the best ones I have ever read, Dramione or not. I like HP quasi-erotica as much as the next girl ;-) and in the first couple of chapters that's what I thought it was going to be. Great, I thought - light, fluffy, hot. And then 4-5 chapters in I was completely sucked in and stayed up all night reading. Starting at Ch 25/The Last Dance, I just started sobbing uncontrollably, and that lasted for the next 2-4 chapters. The heartbreak in the story was so palpable, MY heart war breaking for both D and H. I never completely relaxed - even thought I knew a "happy end" was coming - until the very last line of the pre-epilogue chapter.

Draco was so human, so vulnerable, so honest, so conflicted, driven to the edge of insanity by thinking he MUST be insane to think he is magical :) when that is in fact who he is, so desperate and resigned at once, needing love and salvation, and my heart just broke for him (esp at ch 25) ever more than before. I loved that he could be all of those things yet not be OOC - it was a logical result of the memory charm and the following ordeal he went through. He was entirely different and still entirely the same. The situation forced him to act out his best innate qualities. I think one of the most complex things you have portrayed is that dichotomy between Draco seemingly embracing his 'job' and lifestyle, reveling in the attention and admiration - he was always a bit of an exhibitionist, - and at the same time secretly viewing it as some sort of cursed inevitability, craving an escape and some normalcy. Absolutely amazing. I have read many, MANY Dramiones in the last year, but this is the first and only Draco that I have completely fallen in love with.

I love Hermione's moral conflict both before and after she has discovered how Draco has come to be in his situation. The first being having the guilt of just KNOWING and not telling him too early or too late. The second was the guilt of knowing she caused him to live this life that he detests yet accepts, and yet knowing that she shouldn't feel guilty because she did the best she could in that situation, and because when she did it, he probably deserved much worse a fate. You have pulled off this complexity brilliantly.

Also, I nearly never read AU/non-canon-compliant fics (not counting EWE), and I saw that you started the story before book 7 came out, and I think you did a great job at sticking to canon as much as possible while making historical alterations to fit the necessary plot lines of your story. Kudos. Thank you for an amazing story, and I am voting for your story for 1st place in every category it's been nominated.
