Wow. This was an intense story but I really liked most of what you did with it. The only thing I didn't like was the way it ended. I don't know how I'd have liked it to end but that didn't feel right to me. I'm going to look for the sequel now.

I loved this story. Hellfire and brimstone, I love your writing style. It's dark and angsty without going over the top and getting whiney. About this story especially, I loved the connection that the two made despite all the isolation around them. I wasn't too thrilled with the merging of Houses, though. It seemed to go against the foundation of Hogwarts as well as what leading research has on the House system as a method of educational displine. I think Cain is my favorite character, more so even than Granger or Potter [loved his snarkiness in this fic].

I understand the Dark Side as a theoretical stance but I don't see how truly good people, the Gryffindors here, would turn into a marauding mob. How does that work exactly?

I have been on the past...what...six hours maybe more reading all the chapters of this story and I must say, truly, this is the first harry potter story I have read that had the emotional power to make me cry,to laugh,to hate to feel those emotions.I can't wait to read the sequel and hope that you keep up your excellent writing.
