Thought you might want to know, the legal age of consent in Spain and Cyrpus currently is 13. Albania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lative and Portugal are all 14. Most other European countries range between 15-17. So she really could have kids in another place.
Loved your story, thought it was really good, and i liked how she'd wait for him that was really cute.
I could totally see Hermione sitting up reading till she found the answer.

having lustful designs on a 14 year old would not be pedophilia regardless of what the prudish press would have us believe. pedophilia is the desire of prepubescent children. 14-15 is not pre its post. Ephebophilia is the term used for an attraction to youth post puberty but not at the legal age of consent. this is all based on the sociological definitions of child. in England its 16 (you can always tell an American writer when they have to make hermione 18)in France its 15 in Spain its 13. so i don't find this story creepy because of the age, but more for the fact he is a Voyeur. even then its not that creepy. of coarse I'm not as uptight as most.

It is interesting to see how the addition of dialogue changes the "feel" of the story.

I much prefer Chapter one. But as for how he would proceed to treat her in public after this. I rather the scenario where while he may encourage her by challenging her, no overt (or covert) touching/affection would be done. I think he would seduce her brain. Opening her up to knowledge of all kinds; magical and not. Make her come to him...that its HER idea to be with him.

The spy in him would always have plots within plots.

I also prefer number uno. XD. It's still a little creepy, yes, but I think that's mainly because I wasn't expecting him to be perving over the kids she could give him (Even though that's not really the point of his dialogue. Be funny, though.) I don't condone pedophilia, but this exploration into censorship is definitely worth looking into. Too many authors are afraid of going into that territory for fear of the repercussions of fandom and people with mob-mentality.

Anyway, this is prolly the first time I reviewed any of your work though I've been following it for years. =0 I know. I'm ashamed of my shyness sometimes.

And that is why explanations are so important!
I noticed that it happened with Sweeney Todd - I know deviating, but hey it has Alan Rickman and thats close enough eh? ;D
But in the Stage Musical there's the song that the Judge sings that he's conflicted about being attracted to his charge, but comes to the resolution that he can make it all ok by marrying her - but the song and scene was entirely cut out from the movie, which means the Judge is made EXTRA creepy.
It's really interesting to see different points of view, or to see how one important thing in the story can change peoples viewpoints.
    Anyways nicely done.

It's entirely possible that there's something really wrong with me, but I found this fic to be unconventionally hot. The first one, naturally. The second posting was way too... disturbing and creepy. Sexy brooding Snape is one thing... lurking creepy Snape is another. I think what makes this short little piece sexy in its own way is that:

    1. He's not lusting after her pubescent body, not really. Admittedly, he is perving on her a bit, but not in that oh I don't know 'Old men and scantilly clad young school girl way' that just makes you groan. He's perving on her mind... envisioning her potential, which is somehow not as freaky... although putting it that way is kinda disturbing as well.

    2. Hermione is aware of his presence and accepting of his words. She understands what he's going on about and seems to be thrilled by the idea as well. If this were entirely one sided, then yeah, it would be odd/awkward/squicky, but Hermione's return of his affection makes it a bit more acceptable. Even if the arguement can be made that she is not old enough to make such decisions.

Well, the 2nd version makes it creepy and yet the 1st was kind of sweet. It's amazing how the same story can be viewed in 2 different lights. Nicely done.

I prefer chapter one. I think it was the insight into his mind that make it not so... you know.

very nicely done. I read a lot of Historicals and so true, at 12 she couldl have married and now it seems so 'taboo' The child bearing age was 12-18, after that they were considered old, lol. Well, then I am absolutely ancient and should have a couple of grandkids by now! (eww, no, no, no, lol)

rather intrigueing! I myself don't read the pediphile or incest fics... but that's my choice. i don't agree with censorship either (perhaps in extreme cases)

It would be interesting to read a sequel to this placed a few years later when she is of age....lol
