MHS: And you always bring up things in your reviews that make me think as well. Your response to "One Day in the Park" made me think about Petunia's promose to Dumbledore and wonder what other secrets she held. I've also thought about what if Dudley, after they leave Harry, and his expression of true concern for his cousin, goes to try and find out what happened to him, and finds the Leaky Cauldron. Only wizards and witches are supposed to be able to see it. Wouldn't that be cool? lol. Of course, exploring these little pieces would most likely be lemonless. But still fun I think.

    Ms_Figg:

You never fail to put an interesting spin on a story. I too have wondered what Dumbledore meant when his letter said "remember your promise Petunia". So, her ickle Dudikins was a wizard? I don't want to believe that she would be so neurotic...so fearful that her son was a wizard like Harry that she would go to such extremes to keep his gift a secret. All because of that insane rat of a husband was afraid of the magical world himself.

Your story spurned a thought of my own...if Dudley really was a wizard, perhaps Petunia wasn't doing such a good job of supressing his magic. That day at the zoo on his birthday, Dudley really wanted to get close to that snake. Perhaps he made the glass disappear and not Harry.

You have this way about you, Ms_Figg...a way of stimulating a person's thought process with your stories. Your interesting fic about Petunia's promise has got me to thinking about all of the things JKR failed to explain in the books...where did Snape & Draco go at the end of HBP (the book I have most recently reread)...what was the third scent Hermione smelled from the cauldron of Amortentia...amongst many other things.

    Thanks for the great read!
