You are absolutely dreadful. Never see each other again?? I mean, I know the girl has issues, and what a mind-fuck that must be, rationalizing the fact that best pleasure she'd ever experienced had come from her ex-fiancee's older brother-- who's family she had cut herself off entirely from in the process of healing...but never see each other again? Really...

The mechanics of the story worked well.

At first I was concerned that your back story was a bit lengthy- and was not terribly thrilled with the bits about Ron and his man bits, but that seemed to fit in a bit better once we came to the comparison with Charlie.

I love your inception of Gisele- though isn't it spelled with double sets of double letters? Not important. And Pierre, also lovely. Meghan was another interesting side long character. You take time building up your characters, even if they are minor. Most important in little one-shots like this.

You do desperately need a beta, though often I have no room to speak, and I lost count of the all the minor corrections that I was going to post to you.

The interaction between Hermione and Charlie was simply delightful and I think what I've been needing to finally work mine over- in Merciless Flirt- I've been putting off the actual event for sometime now because nothing I've managed to write has felt right. I've started that chapter at least eight times now and scrapped it every time. So thank you for the inspiration.

I do love the fact that he was so insistent on helping her finish a second time, and had no shame in admitting that he would not last long. Not something most men are going to admit on a New Year's drunk one-nighter, although it was clear that in Charlie's mind it was something much more.

I loved the outfit, invisioned well- except for two little bits. You said she had a silver wool shawl- and had described the halter as silver. Even in France it's a fashion no-no to have the wrapping for your sexy top be the same colour as the sexy top itself. Perhaps black or black with silver threading. This bothered me because the fashionista in me was screaming- you cad! And the description of the shoe was a bit off. It said silver sandals which made hear four inches taller essentially. To me- to see a description of sandals, something I automatically envision as flat- and then be told they increased her height- was jarring from the story. I like my imagery to flow smoothly so that I don't have to stop and think about what exactly is evolving on the canvas in my head. Maybe "And silver sandals with a heel." A complete descriptor in one phrase that allows the image to come alive slightly more smoothly, in my opinion.

Let me stop ranting about that one little thing.

Otherwise, I was very impressed with your standard of writing and your descriptions (need for grammatical correction aside) and found that you did not leave any terrible loose ends hanging or have any gaping plot holes. There were no inconsistencies, that I noticed, and overall the story was most pleasing.

    Cheers,

Oh my goodness, I love it! But you have to write a sequel...they need each other! lol...I can't help it, I'm a sucker for happy endings and that just wasn't happy enough for me. I think that Hermione needs to get her happy butt to Romania for a bit more Charlie goodness.

Too little Hermione/Charlie, and divine retribution for Ron. Sequel would be nice.

You cannot really leave it there. You can go in so many directions with this. It was a great start and I can easily see a great story comming from this. Hope you reconsider and ass more. Well done!

:) there are definitely not enough charlie/hermione stories. thanks for this one!! i can't wait for more from you. maybe a sequel? (hint, hint) i have to admit that ron is my favorite, so i don't like things that paint him as a completely horrible git, but it worked in this story. can't wait for more!
