You've definitely have me entranced with the world you've created here. Though you may have initially came upon this idea through reading another's work, you've undeniably made this plot your own. You're very talented, and I dare say more talented than Golden himself. Where he took everyday knowledge of a geisha, added some romance and action, you have done so much more. You've recreated what a geisha is, and made a completely new tradition steeped in magic and wondrous beauty. Its easy to rewrite someones accounts of their life and make it sound alluring, and exciting. It's genius to create a new world of people with their own personalities, traditions, abilities, and mysteries. You may be using Harry Potter and Co.'s names and Golden's geisha feel, but action makes the man, and these characters are undoubtedly yours. I'm anxiously awaiting your next installment.

Great story so far, I'm really enjoying it. I've read 'Memoirs of a Geisha' before, and I loved it. I can definitely see aspects of that book in your story, but you've avoided copying them straight from the book and instead twisted the ideas and made them your own. I'm definitely excited to see where you'll take this premise, and I eagerly await your next update.

    Hi there,
Thanks for the great reviews. Thanks for a heads up on the crediting also. I did origionally explain my influences from the book 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden, and duely credited him for his excellent work. However, I unfortunatly managed to loose this when I transferred the text across. I have now recified this problem and have given him full credit for the great inspiration he has given me. I intend for this to be a long novel-length fic and to fully explore what it means to be part of a world with cultural insolation, as well as the concepts of freedom, identity and forbidden love.
    Please enjoy!

Hum... while it's kind of obvious what the story is based on, to the point that you maybe should have credited it, this is a great read =). Hope for an update soon!
