It's great to read your fanfictions again, I'm sorry we lost touch so many years ago. I read the PDF copy of your book you had sent me but by the time I had finished it I had lost your contact info :( I hope you are well :)

Shiloh ... I loved the three chapters here. If your muse ever decides to nibble again, I wouldn't mind reading more of it too. Of course, it could also end the way it is too. I love your stories, and I love LM/HG stories. Yours are always well written and a delight to read and reread. I have many of them saved on my hard drive too just to be sure never to lose your wonderful work.

    Wow....

*to myself* QUIT GETTING BORED AND CURIOUS AND END UP FINDING MORE CRACK COUPLES YOU ADORE, ESP. in HARRY POTTER!! *done with half serious/ half silly rant*

I don't remember when I stumbled on this. I think I was actually looking for a SS/HG Tango fic, but I wasn't having much luck. (Not having much luck finding that theme with a lot of my favorite couples. Need to change that.) However, I am more than content to have read this one out of curiosity. I love how you have evolved Hermione and Lucius, especially Lucius. Sizzling tango description and conversation there! I read the dance chapter thrice before moving on. That's how much of a Latino dance connoisseur I am. I really liked how you understated it, letting little moments carry the dance as a whole. The ending of the chapter, combining his proposal to heal her for one night following up with a biting remark to Ron fit rather nicely too.

I read the second chapter twice the first time I found the story and a third time slower when you updated your story with a third chapter. I didn't think it was possible but I am more entranced by the vulnerable garden scene than the touching, soul-felt dance. The hummingbird element was so amazing, ethereal, in the Malfoy house, erasing the dark back tones with noble heartache, heartache echoed and rebounded twice-fold in Hermione's pain. When Hermione came undone, it was almost poetic, and when he carried her into the house after the violent outburst, with reverence and tender care, I fell for the couple emerging.

I was most worried when I saw that it wasn't finished since it seems that I find a lot more stories unfinished on this site than on ff.net.

I'm very glad that you came back to it. : )

The third chapter continued to play with any expectations I might have had, but it did not disappoint. The gentle humor with Eliza was a fun portrayal of change in the Malfoy house, a complete difference from Dobby the house elf, and with the last two chapters, it was very believable. Especially if the beautiful second chapter hadn't been written first, I don't think I would have taken that contrast as well. My respect for Lucius moved to a new level when he tended Hermione's burn on her leg. Another heart-warming moment. Then, that moment turned into something even deeper at Hermione's pain blending with Lucius' honor and love.

You've portrayed Lucius as a man with a strict code of honor and deep passion/love; Hermione, whose heart is still broken but warming to his affection surely, because hope has not been as broken and scattered as she would have believed. I really love how you bring out Lucius' rougher/darker side in his protectivness and possessiveness, and then, you contrast it with a desperate ache and innocence in Hermione's response. Really wonderful work.

Please continue writing this, and it would be lovely to see Draco talk to either one as this develops.

That was delightful even if a bit rushed. The only thing better would have been Ron knowing Hermione found the real deal with Lucius.

I loved that update! I am sorry you had trouble with it, but Lucius' confession of not wanted to be alone again was perfect! Thank you, HG4eva
