One of the stories I find strange and can hardly believe in.
This desperate and meaningless search for forgiveness in all possible places just proves Harry is scared and not a real believer - in anything. No wonder he couldn't find absolution... Firstly, he should have asked for forgiveness those people who suffered the most at the consequences of his actions, not some strangers... or deities.
Draco's appearance makes even less sense as he definitely had no intention to pray or repent or atone whatsoever, so his *very sudden* decision to *join* Harry in this absurd adveture seems even stranger...
