This was a perfect, well-paced, unusual story that I absolutely loved.I re-read the whole thing today and found more new insights into wizarding culture and views of the afterlife with the second reading. Well done.

What a lovely and satisfying ending! I've enjoyed learning about all the magical elements you invented and death customs you explained. Very creative and insightful story and a steamy romance as well. Great job.

Now I give you The Eulogy of Professor Severus Snape

When we first met you, you were not the most likeable person.
You made yourself hard, cold, and cruel.
Years of being the man who many considered heartless,
In the end, you had more heart than any of us could even imagine.
Rejected most of your life, you never allowed it to make you weak.
Even when the love of your life turned her back on you,
For a mistake you forever wished to take back, but too late to do so,
Your love for the woman who eventually married you most hated rival,
You still carried that love and did all you could and more
To keep her safe from those who wanted her dead.
After losing her again, but this time to a true monster,
Your love still continued over the years.
It was that love, that undying love,
That showed you had the heart and soul of a true hero,
Even when you casted yourself as a villain.
There was more to you than meets the eye.
    To Professor Severus Snape,
A man who will be remembered as a Hero for years to come.
    Always

Wow! A lovely ending for the living and the dead.

Before I fulfill your request (I still find that very surprising by the way), I have to get something off my chest. You were so kind when I talked about my aunt that I would truly appreciate it if you would do so again. Her health has gotten worst over the last few months. She is on dialysis. Due to her bad health, she has been denied a new kidney for the high chance it will be in vain. If she could take a kidney, she wouldn't take one from family for that fear that it would be in vain. We are working on getting her into a nursing home or (more hopefully) an independent living home, for she truly can no longer live alone. She puts on a brave face in hopes of not being a burden, and even lying to her sons about her condition. We have even been informed that it maybe a couple years before she can no longer be treated by dialysis and we must prepare ourselves. So please, send good prayers, wishes, thoughts, anything to my Aunt Tami. Thank you.

As for your request, you will have to look for my second review. I made long, and thought it should have it's own space. Feel free to use it in another story if you like.

    Lovely little story.

And you're right seeing old pictures make wonder I they're deceased, and when they are known to be dead I try to look if I can tell by their picture, eyes mainly.... But no I cannot.

Chapter 2: Beautifully written again. The unspoken words are the strongest in your work. I value them, your descriptiveness amazing.

Bur calling the deceased man Benedict?! *sighs*

Loved the end of this chapter. I'm glad Hermione is coming around; I was upset at her missing out on learning through Tonks' request for a picture out of sheer stubbornness. I realize she was overwhelmed with what she had discovered, but as it was entirely her fault for snooping I have little sympathy for her there.

I'm really enjoying the different reactions of the dead/spirits. Sure, it's making me cry near continuously, but it's very interesting and somewhat cathartic. Tonks with her gum-chewing, acceptance of her cousin, and wanting to leave something for Teddy had me laughing, crying, and feeling warm all at once. Fred wanting to wait for George but having to be convinced to go on ahead was heart-wrenching, but I liked the closure George was hopefully able to gain from it just as much as I liked Fred's opinion on Draco and Hermione.

I think this chapter really drove home for me that although Draco might have changed his opinion on blood-purity before the end of the war it was the Fear of Voldemort that fueled his beliefs that the Dark Lord would win. It's a stance I cannot recall having read taken before in a fanfic and one I think opens a WHOLE new kettle of fish. LOGICALLY, such a stance would make more sense. I mean, Voldemort was a powerful and experienced wizard. Harry was a very INexperienced boy. Add experiencing Voldemort's power firsthand and it's really no wonder Draco would think they would win no matter What he wished or hoped would come to be.
Perhaps if Hermione could understand the logic it would be easier to forgive him his choice.

    Thanks so much for writing.

Interesting with the painting and photo. Naughty Hermione for being sneaky, and I can't blame her for being wary of Draco with his lack of faith (lesson learned for him). Happy that the two will start over. Will Hermione continue to help Draco with the rest of the departed? Will Draco go with Hermione to find her parents?

Again you have me thinking about a movie. This time it was "Highlander". George wanting Fred to move on, because it meant he would still suffer watching his love ones age and die, just like how Connor stayed with his beloved Heather until the day she died. A very beautiful and heart-breaking scene for me, especially with Queen singing "Who Wants To Live Forever" in the background.

Now to the most important part...
Remus Lupin: who remains us that we should never doubt that we are unworthy to be happy and loved because of the circumstances that we had no control over. You were always more of a man than a monster.

Nymphadora Tonks: who never gave up on love, even that love thought it was unworthy. You brought so much color into this world.

Fred Weasley: who shared the responsibility of making sure laughter still continued even in the darkest of times. You remain us that we don't always have to be serious.
