I'm a romantic at heart too, and I love happy endings. Frankly there are not enough happy endings in life, so it is good to find them in stories.

I found it intriguing - but I would very much have liked to see more development of Severus' change in attitude. I do like how you make him have a harsh separation of his treatment of staff versus students.

Having Hermione study under another potions master was a very good tactic. I liked the fact, though, that you didn't dwell overly on her having romantic liaisons while she was away. It would have made for a much more angst-ridden story once she and Severus did reunite, which would have dramatically altered the tone you've achieved so well with this piece.

it's probably been a while since anyone has reviewed this but I love it! I wish you would update with some more chapters. Or was that the end? I'm not sure but I do love where this was going. Please let me know. Good luck with all your other ventures.

Wow, that made my heart pound... kind of angsty... and I felt so much for Snape at the end of the chapter. It made my heart clench very painfully.
