Anon: This is fan fic. There are going to be elements from the book because the characters are already established. The jasmine scent of Hermione is used by a lot of different authors. I happen to like jasmine so I use it too. I never claimed it was original. But it is so common that you can't really give anyone credit, otherwise I would. Everything in fan fic is pretty much borrowed except the plots. Only the plots are original (one hopes anyway) I want you to recognize elements from the books, that's why I include them. The only original characters I have are Marcus, Cassandra, Eli, Endora, Odessa and Leaf Ear. Oh, and Hansel and Gretel. None of them are in any Harry Potter books that I know of. Any characters you recognize are JKRs. I put that in the disclaimer to make it clear. I think perhaps you assume I am claiming all of this as mine. That's not the case. I am writing stories using someone else's creations, creations I appreciate and love. I am a fan of JKR's and I read and write fiction about her fiction, because I want more. lol. Even if I have to make up the stories myself. So don't feel cheated. All right? Thanks for your honest review.

Denise: yeah, the PWP status has flipped. I decided to make it a full fledged story simply because Snape has turned out to be too complicated to say "hill, I'll do it" quickly enough to suit a pwp. He has some agonizing to do before he folds, maybe some rescuing. Draco is a foil for Hermione worth exploring too. So no more PWP. Going to take that out of the description now. :)

What a gentleman! I'm so glad you're not recycling the same 'Snape' character in each story,.. your Snapes vary,.. which make it so much more multi-dimensional!

Ch 5 - ack! Idiot Hermione! Yes, teenage girls don't always sense when a boy is just spinning a tale, but perhaps Severus will warn her in a way that even a Gryffindor will understand. Snape to the rescue!

Uh oh. I hope Hermione sees through Draco's little game. I wonder what Severus is going to do. I can't wait to read more. Update again and soon.
