I don't understand why this splendid story only got 4 reviews (5 with this). Seriously. This is one of the most breathtaking and well written pieces of writing I've ever read! You should be proud of yourself ;)

A beautiful story . . .
You know - Jamie Cullum did a version recently of this same song that is absolutely gorgeous. You should check it out . . . it's a different style from Radiohead, obviously . . . but very good just the same.
