Sugarplumfairy: I used Catholic as an example. Fact of the matter is, no, Rowling has not indicated they are religious people in any sense....but a wedding, no matter what type, short of going to a courthouse is religious in some sense. Rowling has said that there will be a wedding in book seven...until she shows us what a HP universe wedding looks like, NO ONE has the right to judge any representation of a wedding in a HP story. I think most ppl use Pagan and Wiccan customs and ceremonies because they are the most widely known non-Christian religions in the world, and typically one does not associate witches and wizards with Christianity.

By the way, don't let these flamers get to you. You are doing a great job. We all read fan fiction
(or at least I do) to break away from the , sometimes, harsh realities of real life. If for five minutes I can read your story and forget that I am late paying a bill or I may be way too low on money, then you deserve an Oscar my lady. I can be having a horrible day at work but if for a few minutes I know I can read some great fan fiction to get my mind off of it, then it makes it all better. Yes, people I do have a life outside my computer screen. As the rest of us do. I work in the medical field. I see harsh realities every single day. I love reading a story that I can imagine that I am Hermione or that I could be having sex with Remus. It does make me happy. And lets face it people, its not all peaches and cream in the real world. Fan fiction is our escape from it. When a reviewer attacks a writer no matter how good or bad that story may be, it takes away our escape. No person is forcing another reader to read or review his or her stories. Adult Fan Fiction gives us a window into a world that 10 years ago did not exist. Lets all be happy that someone unlocked that window and now all of us can climb through it.
