Of course Severus will interact with them, although on a "professional" level. He is Harry's head of house after all, as well as his teacher. There are bound to be conferences . . . actually (I'm giving away a little plot here although it's all background) when Harry is sorted into Slytherin, Lily comes to see him . . .
