I think you should continue. Yes, DH is wonderful, but this is the world of fanfiction. People have written fics that aren't HBP compliant and people still read and love them. I see no reason why the same can't be true of fics not DH compliant.

Finish the story! I hate when I like a story and the author just doesn't update anymore. There are a lot of great stories out there that have just left us hanging. Please don't stop.
