I think you should go for it! I injoyed MOASS. So I know I wil injoy the other ending. ^^ And Plus I told my friends that I read a fanfic that had a better ending then the book.I cant wait!

JKR loves killing off her characters more than any other author I know of.
Even having Harry naked in it twice didnt make up for the fact that he
ended up with *yuck* Ginny.
Personnaly I would love to read a different version of the events.

If you're using the reviews as a means of voting, then I vote no, don't rewrite your story just because it doesn't quite dovetail with Deathly Hallows. It stands up very nicely on its own.
