I like it. lol. Though I was confused by this phrase in Ch. 1 "of economic proportions" I've not heard it phrased quite like that, though I got the gist of what you were trying to say which is "of epic proportions".
I like that DD is alive in your story too, I LOL'd when he was described as the only one to marry a drunk HG and DM, I could see him as an opportunistic meddler. Can't wait to see what comes next, I'm curious how they'll be stuck together ;)
