...this is so different to those you wrote before, as this is clearly an extreme of dsyfunctional relationship (as I will never understand why Harry was willing to give total submission), though it seems they are keeping it hidden...

It made me sad. I know all stories don't and can't end happily. But it seems to be the norm lately. That in itself is a depressing thing. I read to escape and lately it isn't one anymore.
