Blimey, I'd give Malfoy Manor a wide berth if I thought Fenrir Greyback was waiting there for me. And the relationship with Ron is going true to form - looks like Hermione is heading into a very dangerous place.

On the 'bird' question - it's not used so much as it used to be (I remember watching an adult literacy TV programme in the seventies (why? I was about seven) that patiently explained the difference between birds of the winged variety and the slang type). These days it gets used in a post-modern retro-chic sort of way, and in the 1990s there was lots of chat in the media about 'geezerbirds' - girls who like to watch football with a pint of beer etc. So it is still used, but with heavy inverted commas either side.

Another great chapter. I am glad that Hermione was able to get away from Fenrir. I hope that she can find whatever it is that she is supposed to find. I can't wait to read more soon.

Chapter 3: Yay! New chapter. We meet Hermione

I have to admit, I think Philomena Potts is right about the House Elf legislation. Hermione's on to a loser there.

I loved the sale rack robes; could just see the hideousness of them. I'm intrigued to see what's going to happen next...

This chapter was great. I can't wait to read more soon. I hope Hermione can find out more about the wormhole as Dobby called it.

Excellent new chapter with lots of plot puzzlers! (What To Do With Ron, Snape's Ring, etc.) And I hope nothing evil is up with Crookshank's sudden reappearance. I've decided that I'll leave the Snape-Spanking up to Hermione. She deserves a chance to wale on him a bit...
