Wonderful story. Just a short pointer - I think that instead of the marriage law being "repelled", perhaps the word you're looking for is "repealed"?

Ah yes. The dreaded pregnancy hormones. I remember them well. I'd feel cranky and be bitchy and then feel guilty for being bitchy for no particular reason. And then I remember that I was preggers and had every damn reason in the book to be bitchy even if there wasn't really a reason. To hell with logic and reason. Being bitchy for no reason is a pregnant woman's prerogative...men would be a lot better off if they just accepted that. They don't even have to try to understand it. Just accept it. lol Anyway, now that I'm done preaching....great update! I can't wait for more!
