Oh that was wonderful!

I was certainly not expecting to be teary-eyed by the end of this, but that's exactly what happened. I wish it could have been longer, but I think the length suits the story well. Excellent fic; I'll have to keep an eye out for more of your writing.

Wow. I'll admit, while the "America" piqued my curiosity, when I saw "original character" I nearly clicked off this story. In my experience, most HP stories combining these two elements are woefully lacking. Absolutely not the case with this one. Like Eve, I had a tear in my eye at the end, and was all the more surprised for the unexpectedness of it. This is a lovely story, heartfelt and touching. Well done, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
