Another good addition to the story.
It's.. interesting since I have known a few people with this particular habbit, but I still really can't stand reading bout the self-mutilation in detail.. But then again, i can skip that and enjoy the rest.

Had to skip through all the cutting and things related to it cause it sorta makes me cringe just to think of it.

Don't doubt yourself. Depressing and dark are always wonderful elements in a fan fic. You've created a very realistic depressed Harry who is just too overwhelmed with the stresses of his life and his envy of the simplicity of those around him; feeling like an outsider looking in. This is a great first chapter. Keep up the good work! ^^
