Do more! Do more! You do write beautifully, you know. Sure, this particular story's been told a thousand times, but you really have a way with the language. The way you've set up the pov in this is also interesting; due to the fact that it was supposed to be a one-shot, you're not "in their heads" to any overwhelming degree. That kind of makes it more fun!
