You are a great writer!! Can not get enough!!

i just started reading this, but I love your story. the characters are so believable. i found this site when i was younger, but was upset to know i couldn't go on it until i was 18, so i waited the required 5 more months and your story is the first i read on this site, and its giving me a very good impression thus far! good job!

Ye gods, woman! Chapter 49 is just fantastic! If Severus wanted to do penance, he's definitely placed himself in Purgatory. And good for Hermione. I just love this chapter. Very evocative!

Hiya! I am reading this WAY after the fact (I've been away from the fanfic world for a while...), and I'm only on Ch. 42. But, I wanted to leave a review (as it's taken me days to get this far - not from lack of wanting to read, but my real life seems to interfere with my fun time...). First, this is just fantastic. I write Lucius/Hermione stuff (although I started off with Severus/Hermione and love a good SS/HG fic when I can find them), and I totally applaud your drive to NOT have them jump in bed together at the first available opportunity. (And, actually, you got me thinking about the LM/HG fic I'm writing now, and literally had me stop them and have Snape stick his beaky nose in to cool the action - which was good, because it didn't feel right - well, it did, but from a realism point, it didn't...) I also like the take on the Marriage Law - there are so many Marriage Law fics that are totally unbelievable; I like how you built up Hermione's reasons for marrying Snape, all fitting in with her personality, and I like how you've brought them together. And the religion/redemption thing. Hmmm. You've got me pondering this with Lucius now. (I've always been of Catholic idea of Goethe's Faust, saved by the love of a good woman.... Of course, my own personal belief is in salvation 'in articulo mortis' (dying breath), but that's neither here nor there.... :-)

Oh, and I totally love the Latin chapter titles. I've got a Master's degree in medieval history (yeah, 2nd most useless degree in the universe), and I amuse myself trying to dredge up my mostly-forgotten Latin to translate the titles (and then see if I'm close). In fact, I may start stealing that idea from you (not the titles, just the idea - and I promise to give you credit for it).

Anyway, I could go on and on (not that I haven't already), and I'm sure I'll leave another review when I'm done reading, but I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am to find this gem "buried" in the pages of SS/HG fics. Thank you so much for the fun. And the ideas.

Oh my, I just had to let you know that I loved this story. It was intelligent and showed a grasp of the characters that I could really see happening in the world view of HP. (Did I mention that I loved the story?!) It was so enthralling. Me and my guy have an agreement that I'm off the laptop every night by 10pm. I got up at 5am just so I could read your story and stick to my agreement. LOL! (Loved the story!)
