Oooh... I like. The whole thing. All of it. I like his disaffected enui too. Of course I had to pause when he melted the cauldron, but I like how you played it off. The whole set-up makes him decidedly well-rounded as a character... even asking for help.

And I do likes me some gossipin' professors. Makes for good intrigue.

Is there a disconnect here? Did you post Ch 4 instead of 3? Ch 2 ends with her reviewing notes. Ch 3 begins with her heading back to the dungeons, but from where really? And the potion already bottled and drunk? Confused. Not that it doesn't happen often enough.
