Wow....I thought that this was a good start to what seems to be a promising story. I noticed a few typos/spelling mistakes, but come on? Who doesn't end up with a few of those every now and again? I know that I do and I read over my work many times before sending it to my beta! I'm trying to picture who you are envisioning as the Minister of Magic. I know that after the Dark Lord was defeated that Kingsley took over as Minister and he offered Auror positions to those those who fought against Voldemort. Personally I like that you've written your own head-canon into the story. I know that the books set a good, solid foundations...but sometimes it's nice to tweak things that happen in order to make them portray what is in our head. I think that Harry did a good thing by taking the Guardian Vow in order to help Snape and Draco....especially since Harry realized that Snape really wasn't a bad guy. I'm curious to see what you have planned out for the chapters to come. Great work so far; keep it up!

This sounds like a promising story. If you do it right, I can see it going pretty far. I like how you set everything up and look forward to the next chapter.

Well I have to say that was an informative, interesting, and all around well written first chapter :) First chapters always tend to be the worst for me when reading them. So if this is an indication as to how great this story will be, then I cant wait to read more.

Interesting start. One thing that really bothered me, though, and I'm sure it will bother others; Brits don't celebrate Thanksgiving. That is strictly an American holiday. You're better off making it Christmas break or something.
