Wow. Interesting revelations abound, though I don't understand why Voldemort felt the need to punish Harry so severely.

Very good chapter! So many emotions. I love the relationship between Harry and Sev. And I'm curious as to who loves him, hehehehe. The punishment was rly good and believable. I think it's admirable how you show him having feelings yet still keep him in character. I hope you get what I mean. Is Bella going to get punished???? If yes plz write it!!! Looking forward to more. :)

Iagree, I dislike when Harry turns evil crazy. Dark is good but suddenly a psychopath is just not a good read.

This is really fantastic so far. I tend to be fond of the Harry Goes Dark stories, but they usually involve him going to the Dark Lord as an equal, not a supplicant, and there is something so unique and interesting about him going as a sacrificial lamb. Obviously Luna, Remus, Ginny, Hermione and the Twins are on his list...is Draco as well? I look forward to learning why Luna is nursing Severus and just what happened there...

Okay, to answer your question about parseltongue, if there might be circumstances when Tom and Harry would speak to each other in parseltongue, it might be a good thing to set apart from the start. Though with Harry being the only other known parseltongue, I can't see them doing so until/unless his identity is revealed at least to the Inner Circle. However, it would add to clarity to have some kind of mark. I've seen it done with :: on either side of the dialogue and many times italics are used for silent thoughts but whatever is consistent and comfortable for you.

That said, I think you've made it pretty clear so could continue as is. LOL.

Regarding Umbridge, I like that Harry was a little sickened but it is really a more brutal expression of his sense of justice. He believed punishing her was necessary and right, and he wasn't going to let his squeamishness get in the way. Also, of course, he refuses to show any weakness in the Dark Lord's service. This should impress Bella and Lestrange and make a good first impression, right?

I hope Voldemort gives Harry some kind of name - how about Bellerophon? LOL. Just something to dial down the mystery and also give them something to call him beside the Dark Lord's Pet. I wonder how long it will be before they decide he's a sex toy? Hmmm....is he allowed to defend himself? I notice he gets to keep his wand.

Harry's mindset, the full acceptance that he is just marking time and checking off a few goals before he dies, is rather heartbreaking, and really gives this a different flavor. I like that he isn't moping about or being a martyr, and hope he will continue to contribute, since he has tossed in his lot with Voldemort. I'm also curious to learn Voldemort's goals.
