Good to see more of this fic, it makes a good way to get over recent involvement in an ongoing flamewar.
I would like to make one nitpick though, the flashback scene with Alex, the curse is call the \'Imperius\' curse, not the \'Impervious\'. \'Imperverious\' means something cannot get through, there is a \'Impervius\' (im-PER-vee-us - \"im-\" prefix from L. not + \"pervius\" L. letting things through) chart itt it is for making something waterproof or water repellant.
Going on context of your scene the spell you were intending was Imperio - the Imperius Curse (\"impero\" L. order, govern, command) the Unforgiveable.
The HP Lexicon is a really good reference and can be found at http://www.hp-lexicon.org/

This is such an amazing fic, I love it! I love James\' superiority and how it fits with everng ing in the story. I love how the two are started to get along very well.... Keep up the great work!
