Confessions of a Mad Slytherin
Draco Malfoy lounged in the Slytherin common room reading his potions book. However, his mind wasn’t on the text in front of him. It was on the upcoming graduation and inevitable marriage to Pansy Parkinson. The Dark Lord had ordered it and insisted on the two bringing forth a pureblood child to be raised as the Dark Lord’s heir.
Whispered conversations grew louder as the portrait opened violently. Pansy ran towards Draco with a piece of parchment in her hand. “Draco, we need to talk,” she said urgently. Draco nodded and he closed the book. The two walked through the common room like the rulers of Slytherin house they were, the students parting for the pair.
Once the two were outside the haven of their house, their Slytherin masks were dropped into place. They continued to climb stairs until they encountered the corridor they wanted. Draco paced back and forth three times, while thinking of what he wanted. A door appeared. Pansy opened it and she let Draco inside. Once inside the room, she walked over to the desk and she wrote a short note. She then gave the note to the owl that sat on a perch. Once that was done, she collapsed into one of the two couches.
“Pans, what’s got you so riled?” Draco asked.
“This!” Pansy said, throwing the parchment to the blond.
Draco read it and he paled even farther than his own natural skin tone. “Merlin,” he said. In his hand was the copy of their wedding invitation for Pansy to look over. It was dated for the day of graduation.
“Exactly,” Pansy agreed. “We have to do something. I mean, I love you and all, but I don’t want to become the brood mare for the Dark Lord’s heir. You do know that as soon as the child would be weaned, we’re no longer of any use. We have to find some way to stop it.”
“Like what?” Draco snorted; he had never found a way to thwart his father’s plans. “Do you plan to find an unsuitable boyfriend and carry a half blood child? Well that would work fine for you, but what about me?” Draco trailed off and he looked at Pansy. “You don’t think…? Would it work for both of us? Uncle Severus would help, I’m sure he has the means to make the potion to go along with the spell to make me pregnant.” Pansy looked hopeful for the first time in months.
“Yeah, but who? It’s got to be someone really unsuitable in the eyes of our parents and You Know Who,” Pansy said.
“It will have to be a Gryffindor for the both of us. Blaise has already gotten into Granger’s pants, so she’s out,” Draco pointed out.
“Well, what about the rest of the trio? I’ve always admired Weasley’s loyalty to Potter, fourth year notwithstanding. Besides,” Pansy said with a blush, “I’ve always had a thing for redheads.”
Draco sighed. “Well then I guess that leaves me with Potter.” He stood up and then he helped Pansy stand up. “We better get back to the common room. To keep the parents in the dark until we’ve found a way to get out of the marriage, proof read the invitation and send it back. Come on.” The two walked out of the room, their masks already dropped into place.
Once the door was closed behind them, air by the desk shimmered and shifted revealing a very shocked Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.
“What do we do?” Harry wondered.

Three days later, Draco was still trying to figure out what he was going to do to get Potter to listen to him. Pansy had already approached Weasley and they were discussing their future relationship. It seems that Weasley and Granger broke up the year before due to crushes on Pansy and Blaise. Draco sighed; it was easier for Pansy to approach Weasley than it was going to be for Draco to approach Potter.
A knock sounded on the door of his private room. Confused, he got up to answer it. When he opened the door, he was surprised to see no one there. Mentally shrugging, he shut the door. When he turned around, he jumped in surprise.
Harry Potter stood in the middle of his room, looking straight at him. “Nice room…Draco,” Potter said.
“Potter what are you-wait, did you just call me Draco?” the blond asked.
Potter smirked at him in such a way that reminded him of him. “It’s your name, isn’t it?”
“Yes, but what makes you think you have the right to use it?” asked Draco.
“Draco, Ron and I were in the Room of Requirement when Pansy and you discussed ways to get out of your wedding. Ron and I discussed it after you left and we’d like to help you,” Potter explained.
“Potter-”
“Harry,” Potter insisted.
“Harry,” Draco said, “why would you want to help me?”
Harry approached Draco cautiously, as if he just recalled the fact that he was alone with Draco in Draco’s room. “Have you really not noticed?” Harry asked quietly, reaching out to Draco. Draco watched warily but he didn’t stop Harry’s hand. Harry was shocked when his hand met the soft skin of Draco’s cheek without being hexed. He rubbed his thumb across the satiny skin, marveling at the texture. “How could I not help you?” Harry asked softly.
Draco blinked. “Are you saying you like me?” he asked, his voice matching the tone of Harry.
Harry chuckled. “Yeah something like that,” he whispered, leaning foreword. He hesitated slightly when he was right in front of Draco’s lips, waiting for an okay.
Draco leaned foreword, completing the kiss. He had never kissed another male before eve though he knew he preferred them to women. That was another reason he didn’t want to marry Pansy, the thought of kissing or touching a woman repulsed him. Harry deepened the kiss while Draco’s thoughts were elsewhere.
The Slytherin gasped, feeling the kiss all the way to his toes. He opened his mouth to allow Harry’s tongue entrance. The muscles dueled for several minutes before Draco pulled back. “So you’ll really help me?” he gasped, panting.
“Yes,” Harry smiled, diving back in for another kiss.

A few weeks later, four students- two Slytherin and two Gryffindor- sat in the hospital wing awaiting the results of their tests. Draco and Pansy sat on two of the beds with Ron and Harry sitting next to them. Harry squeezed Draco’s hand and he kissed their clasped hands.
Madam Pomfrey bustled into the room, carrying two clipboards. She was muttering to herself under her breath. She looked up at the two couples, feeling old when faced with the youthful faces before her. “Well Miss Parkinson, Mr. Malfoy, I do hope you two have plans for making honest men out of these two,” she said, glaring at the red head and the Boy Who Lived.
Confusion was the predominant emotion on the two Slytherin’s faces. Then, realization dawned on Draco’s face. “We’re pregnant?” he asked excitedly. Madam Pomfrey nodded. “Both of us?”” The nurse nodded again.
“Congratulations,” the nurse said, smiling as the two couples embraced. “Ok, calm down you four. Now, there are some things you need to know…”

The day of graduation dawned bright and clear, sunlight creeping slowly into each of the beds in the Gryffindor 7th year dorm. Harry groaned and he batted and the curtains, trying to shut out the small sliver of light that had crept through.
“You’re fighting a losing battle there love,” Draco’s voice said. He looked over at his bed partner and smirked.
“Too early,” Harry muttered. “Tempus,” he muttered. The spell made red numbers appear in the air. 8:30.
“It’s not that early,” Draco said cheerfully.
“That’s only ‘cause you’re not hung over,” pointed out Ron from his bed.
“Pregnant people aren’t allowed to drink, you know that Ronald,” said Hermione, from inside the room. “Draco and Pansy were nice enough to keep me company since I don’t drink.”
Harry and Draco pulled their boxers on before they opened the curtains so they could get out. “Damn it Harry, don’t you two own any bloody pajamas?” Ron demanded.
Draco smirked. “What would be the use of putting them on if they are just going to come off again?” Ron blushed.
Ignoring Ron, Harry and Draco walked into the bathroom to take their shower. Once they finished, they dressed in the clothes they left in there the night before. Draco wore grey slacks and a sapphire blue silk shirt and Harry wore black slacks and an emerald green silk shirt.
“Damn!” Seamus said, looking up from buttoning his shirt. “Do you have any idea how good the two of you look? If I wasn’t with Dean, I would so go for you two!”
“Sorry Finnigan, he’s taken,” Draco said, pulling Harry close to his side.
“You have two minutes to finish up and get down here,” Hermione yelled up the stairs from the common room. Those that were already dressed walked down the stairs to the Gryffindor common room.
Once all the 7th years were ready they moved en masse from the common room down to the Great Hall. The two Slytherins stilled when they reached the open doors. Across the room, near the Slytherin table stood their parents, dressed for a wedding. “You can do it,” assured Harry.
Draco nodded and he walked over to his parents with Pansy on his arm. “Father, Mother,” he greeted, nodding to his father and kissing his mother’s cheek. “Mr. Parkinson, Mrs. Parkinson.” Draco waited until Pansy had greeted her parents.
“Draco, Pansy, I cannot express to you how proud I am to see the two of you together today,” Lucius said.
Draco took a deep breath for courage before speaking. “Father, Pansy and I have something to tell you…” Another breath. “We will not be going back to the Manor with you.”
“What!” Lucius hissed.
“We cannot marry each other,” Pansy said quietly. “We are already married…to other people,” she quickly finished when she saw Lucius look relieved. That look vanished in an instant. With muttered spells, the glamour charms that hid their wedding rings fell. Both the Malfoys and the Parkinsons gaped at the rings.
“Draconis Malfoy, why are you wearing the Potter family rings?” Narcissa asked.
Palius Parkinson looked at the ring on his daughter’s hand. “I do not recognize the family that your ring belongs to. Please tell me that you didn’t marry a mudblood.”
Harry and Ron chose that moment to move to their spouse’s side and they took hold of their hands.
“Unacceptable!” both Lucius and Palius exclaimed.
Lucius stared into the hardened emerald eyes of the younger man before him. “This union is unacceptable. It will be annulled by five o’clock.”
“The same for you two,” Palius hissed.
“Sorry to disappoint you two,” Harry said, “but since we are of age and the fact that our marriages have been consummated, you can do nothing.”
“And just how do you plan on proving this farce of a union is consummated?” Lucius asked.
“Well Lucius, you’re going to be a grandfather,” Harry said, smirking.
“You too Palius,” Ron said, squeezing Pansy’s hand.
The thud of the two wizards hitting the floor as they fainted echoed in the hall, which quieted quickly.
“Congratulations,” Narcissa said quietly. Draco nodded, knowing that his mother would keep his father away from the two.

Later that night, Draco and Harry lay asleep in one of the beds in the infirmary. Madam Pomfrey had allowed them to sleep in there due to the stress that telling Draco’s parents of their marriage had caused Draco. And the two were also in there because no sane person, including Lucius Malfoy, would risk the wrath of Madam Pomfrey.
Though he was forbidden from stepping foot inside the infirmary, Lucius stood in the doorway watching his heir sleep securely in the arms of his husband. The elder Malfoy had sneered at the thought of his son being married to Potter, but seeing the reality made Lucius pause. Perhaps it was better that Draco had chosen a mate that could protect him from the monster that Lucius called master.
“Be happy…son,” Lucius said, walking down the hall and away from his son.
Draco lifted his head from the pillow and he looked at the empty space that his father had vacated. “I will Father,” he whispered, hugging his husband closer.
