A/N: This is going to be Hermione/Ginny smut, in various settings. If you don't like femme slash, then leave now, because this is all the story is about.
Hermione sighed happily to herself as she settled down in front of the fire in the Gryffindor common room. Her homework was finished, and she had the next few hours until her Transfiguration class to do her favorite thing: reread "Hogwarts, a History" for what seemed like the hundredth time. The book just kept changing, and each time it was a new learning experience for Hogwarts' biggest bookworm. Unfortunately, her peace was interrupted before it even started.
"Hermione!" Ron shouted, stumbling over Harry in his effort to run into the common room. "You won't believe what just happened!"
"Ron made the Gryffindor Quidditch team!" Harry burst out. "He's our new Keeper!" Hermione laughed as she saw them. They were both red faced and panting, obviously having raced back from the Quidditch pitch to tell her the news.
"Congratulations, Ron," she said, "I know how much I means for you to be on the team."
"But that's not even the best part!" he yelled. "Madame Hooch got a special grant from Dumbledore, and I'm going to have a Nimbus 2001!"
"That's great!" said Hemione. "I know how much you've wanted one. But--" she glanced longingly at her book.
"Yea," interrupted Harry. "She thought Ron deserved one, and figured that if he was going to be on the team, he might as well be able to play in style."
"I'm so happy for you Ron, but I'd really like to--"
But before Hermione could get the words out of her mouth, Ginny came in asking Hermione for help on her Potions homework.
"I'm guessing I won't be reading after all," Hermione muttered under her breath.
"What was that?" Ron asked, curiously.
