Disclaimer: All the characters, names,
places and the whole wonderful world belongs to J.K. Rowling. I'm
not making any profit of this, I'm just having fun.
Author's note: This is my first published
fanfic ever. I'm not a native English speaker, so pardon me my
grammar and my not so colourful vocabulary. I'm also looking for
beta, if anyone's interested... And encouraging reviews, pretty
please :-)
This has three stories which all begin with
the same words. The first two are very short, the third is a
little bit longer.

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Severus sighed heavily as
he looked at his reflection in the mirror. There it was again.
Last week he had found a grey hair from his raven black mane.
After that there had been more. Now he spotted one, two, three
new ones. His gaze moved from his hair to his face, and it
didn’t make him any happier. Year after year the lines in
his face became deeper and made him look constantly bitter.
Between his eyes were two deep lines, like ravines and he had
pouches under his eyes. The sallow skin on his face had started
to sag, and he firmly refused to think about the other parts in
his body that had started to sag.

“Ugly old
bastard,” Severus growled in a low voice and threw a hateful
glance to the mirror.

“What you are
muttering there?” Severus felt a strong arm snake around his
waist and another, smooth hand touch his face while a head rested
on his shoulder.

“I’m getting
old,” Severus said sullenly.

“Everybody gets
old,” Harry reminded him gently.

“You apparently
don’t,” Severus muttered. Merlin, Harry was well over
his thirties now and still looked exactly the same he been when
he was seventeen. It was so unfair

“Nah, I just mature
slowly. Another twenty years and people start treating you like
my young toy boy,” Harry said gently.

“Ha ha, very
funny,” Severus muttered darkly. Harry placed a kiss on
Severus neck and looked at him through the mirror.

“Why are you so
worried about getting older? What’s wrong with that?”
Harry asked.

“Just look at me! I
wasn’t a beauty when I was younger, but now I’m
hideous. I’m all wrinkles and saggy skin. And my hair is
turning grey!” Severus exclaimed. Harry suppressed his urge
to smile.

“You’ll be
looking handsome with grey hair,” Harry said warmly. Severus
opened his mouth to protest somehow, but Harry put his hand
lightly on Severus’s mouth. “I mean it. And gods, how
many times do I need to tell you that you are not ugly. Alright,
they wouldn’t put you on the cover of Teen Witch Weekly, but
so what? To me you are beautiful. I love you Severus, with all
your wrinkles (which I don’t seem to notice as much as you
claim) and grey hair. After fifteen years together you
should know that there is nothing in a world I would change you
for.”

“You’re just
saying that,” Severus muttered, but he had to admit that he
was feeling better. Harry always made him feel better.

“Yeah, saying that
and meaning that,” Harry said and pulled Severus tighter
against him. “As long as I have you with me, I need
nothing else.”
