One

Discovery

It was a clear and dark night in late October.
The leaves had already started to turn into bright colours but the air was
still warm. The sky was clear so you could see the stars.

Professor Severus Snape, the potions master of
Hogwarts was still outside collecting herbs for his potions stock in the Forbidden Forest. He had been very irritated lately
with Dumbledore constantly bickering about his personal life. Severus! You are under a lot of pressure..
you really should try and live more! Go out, find a nice woman. You really
can�t carry all this on your shoulders alone. You need someone to really share
this with. He made his way through
the trees and went further into the forest.

Yeah right! Just go
out and find a nice woman� and how would that work? �Oh hi! My name is Severus
Snape. Oh yes I once was a dedicated Death Eater.. nono.. I changed my mind.
Now I spy for Dumbledore..� As if�.

He knew very well that most women would have
run for the door only hearing the words Death Eater. That�s why he came outside
in the first place. To get some peace and to get away from this nosey old man.

While he was striding through the trees still
in deep thought he heard a sound. It almost sounded like someone was
whimpering. He stopped dead in his tracks listening carefully but hearing
nothing. Maybe I�m just going mad.. he
thought to himself. But there it was again. Something or someone was nearby.
Severus looked around but there was nothing but darkness. Going further into
the forest he found a small clearing. The moonlight cast a pale shimmer across
the grass and� What in Merlin�s name IS
that?

In the middle of the clearing lay a woman. She
had curled up into a ball her dark red hair was falling in smooth waves down to
her waist. It almost looked unnatural. Severus took a step towards her. She was
totally naked. Her skin was so pale, that it almost looked like silver
reflecting the moonlight and she was crying silently sobbing and whimpering
from time to time.

When he looked a little closer he could see
dark bruises on her pale flesh and her wrists were cut in as if she had been
handcuffed. The cuts were bleeding and quite deep.

He took another step towards her mesmerised by
her appearance. She looked so fragile, almost like a doll made of porcelain.
And yet another step a stick breaking under his boot silenced her instantly.

She lifted her head, her eyes widened in shock looking
at him. Those eyes! They were of the brightest blue. There was a dark bruise
around her left eye, her lip was split and a wound on top of her head was
bleeding. It formed a small rinse of blood across her face.

In the
briefest moment she was on her feet Damn!
What a body� She was quite tall but very slim. Her hips were perfectly
rounded as well as her breasts. What they
would feel like in�DON�T go there Severus are you insane? She is hurt! She
seemed to prepare herself for a fight standing like a cat ready to jump.

�Ehm� are you alright?� He tried to establish a
conversation. But she didn�t answer, she
only tilted her head to the side looking confused. She didn�t even seem to
notice her own state of dressing. All she was wearing was a thin white
...something.... It looked like two tissues clasped together with metal clips
on her shoulders. Clearing his throat he
tried again �Can I� Can I help you? Are you alright?� Nothing. She only tilted
her head from the one side to the other still looking confused. He approached
her taking of his cloak she shied away from him. �Don�t� here.. you must be
awfully cold. I am not going to hurt you.� He said, holding his cloak in front
of him. She seemed to understand for she stayed still.

Slowly Severus put the cloak around her.

�What�s your name?� Again this confused look.
�Do you speak any English?� and again What
the fuck am I doing here?I should just take her up to the castle. She needs
medical attention and surely Dumbledore would be interested in her. She
nodded.

�What?� Again the confused look. �Oh to hell
this is irritating me even more. Listen! You are hurt and I am going to take
you to the hospital wing.�

He took her by the arm trying to lead her to
Hogwarts but she remained still. �Look I am Severus Snape Potions Master of
Hogwarts School and I am not going to hu��

�Severus�.� She whispered looking up into his eyes. He
froze. These eyes� No this is crazy..
supposedly she is a mental woman who just fled from Azkaban or something�
enough of this .. �I am going to take you to the castle.� She smiled one of
the sweetest smiles he had ever seen and he took her arm again, leading her
towards Hogwarts.

He was standing in the infirmary next to
Dumbledore who had just returned from behind the screen where Poppy was taking
care of the strange woman. �So you say you found her in the Forbidden Forest right?� Albus asked. �Yes�� Severus
grumbled �And the answer is going to stay yes even if you are going to ask me ANOTHER 100 times�

�That�s strange Severus. It so happens that I
seem to know what she is.� This got his attention. �What she is?�

A/N: Uhhh is our beloved Professor falling for
someone he doesn�t even know?

And by the way� Who the hell is she? :D
