It was June; Harry was still moping around Privet Drive number 4. It had been about a month since Harry had stepped from the Wizard world to the Muggle world. He knew he would be there again to see his friends Ron and Hermione but one person he would never ever see again was his Godfather Sirius Black who died fighting one of Lord Voldemort’s loyal followers a Death Eater. Sirius Black was his salivation as when he got old enough to leave the Dursleys he would live with Sirius. The mere thought of his now dead Godfather sent Harry racing from the kitchen before the Dursleys could see him cry and went right into the backyard and climbed up the tree where he stayed till the sun started to set.
Vernon and Petunia wondered what was wrong with him but didn’t dare to ask him.
“Vernon, maybe we should ask him what’s wrong?” Petunia asked, worriedly. “Something must have happened in the Wizardry world to cause him to be so sad.”
“I’ll ask him to come in,” said Vernon, as he walked outside and towards the tree. “Harry, would you please come down from the tree and come inside. I would like to…talk to you.”
“I…do not…feel like…talking right…now, Vernon.” Harry said, trying to hide the fact that he was crying.
“Well, if you need to…” said Vernon, as he started to turn and leave.
“Thanks uncle Vernon, I will.” Harry said, as he looked down as his uncle smiled a soft smile and walked away back into the house. “I’m sorry Vernon, but I cannot talk about it. You wouldn’t understand...no one really understands that I am guilty of killing Sirius not out right but I am responsible for his death just like Cedric.”
Petunia looked at Vernon and her eyes asked the question. Vernon turned to the window and then spoke, “He wouldn’t talk. I’m worried about him. I do not even know how to contact his people to get him some help or someone to talk to.”
“His owl could send a message to his people. We could use the owl?” asked Petunia.
“Maybe but I’m sure he’ll come around. So what’s for dinner?” asked Vernon, quickly turning the subject to dinner.
A few minutes later, Petunia came out and said, “Harry, dinner’s on the table. Your food will get cold if you don’t come in and eat it soon.”
“I’m not hungry, Aunt Petunia.” Came the reply from the tree.
“All right, I’ll place it in the fridge for you to warm up later.” She turned back inside and went to put Harry’s plate in the fridge for him.
The Dursleys all ate in silence only an occasional word about the food was heard and then a discussion about going out to the movies afterwards. It was not long after they finished that Dudley walked outside and went to the tree where Harry was. He sat down by the trunk and spoke, “Harry, I know you and I never were really good friends or even close cousins. But I just want to say thanks for what you did last summer saving me from those…those…”
“Dementors,” Harry said, softly.
“Those Dementors, I do not think I was going to be happy ever again. Mom made a really nice meal. Want to come in and eat?” asked Dudley hopefully.
“No, I’m not hungry, Dudley. I’ll eat when I feel hungry maybe later tonight.” Harry said.
“We’re planning on going out to a movie soon; do you want to join us? Maybe take your mind off of what is wrong?” asked Dudley.
“Thanks but not tonight, Dudley. I just don’t feel up to being with people tonight, just want to be alone.” Harry said, softly.
Dudley got up and looked up at Harry for a long minute before he turned and walked into the house. A few minutes later, their car headlights pierced the dark and then slowly drove away from the house.
Harry climbed down from the tree and entered the home again. He opened the fridge to see the meatloaf that Petunia was making that afternoon. It looked tasty as he picked it up and realized that it was still hot. He quickly ate it and cleaned the dishes that were in the sink before retiring to his bedroom like he always did but this time he stopped at the bathroom to get something from the medicine cabinet. He turned on the light and walked into the room shutting the door behind him. He went to his trunk and got out several parchments and his ink bottle and his quill.
He sat down at the desk and quickly started to write a letter to all his friends and to the members of the Order of Phoenix.
‘Dear Remus, Severus, Moody, Dedalus, Nymphadora, Kingsley, Sturgis, Hestia,
I’m sorry about Sirius being dead and all. I am to blame for his death. I, alone am to blame no one else.
Do not come after me, for it will be too late.
I am going to join my parents and Sirius wherever they are.
You have all been good friends and good teachers.
Remus, Severus, you two should be at peace with each other. Neither of you should hate each other for a past mistake. You two are very good teachers and you should be friends.
Remus, I do want you to do me a favor. Keep Hedwig as I will not be needing her no more.
Farewell,
Harry James Potter’
Harry folded it up and sealed it within the envelope. He looked at all the letters he wrote. Each one was similar to each one beyond the names addressed to the recipient. ‘It is done. By the time they all get these letters. I will not be here no more.’
Harry opened the cage and let Hedwig into the room. “I need you to get these messages to the following people Remus Lupin, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Hagrid, Molly and Arthur Weasley, Albus Dumbledore. Got it?”
Hedwig hooted softly and placed her head against Harry’s as he stroked her feathers before hopping over to the window and with a final look back at Harry – she flew into the night’s sky. Harry watched as she vanished from sight before he turned to the medicine bottle in his hand.
“One more letter. This time to Severus,” Harry whispered as he picked up his quill and started to write his thoughts down.
‘Dear Severus,
I know you and I were really never that close but I need to get this off my chest. By the time you get this or decide to open it, I’ll be long gone.
I’m sorry that I blamed you for Sirius’s death. It was my fault all along. I should have never stopped doing Occlumency with you. Sirius would not have come to the Department of Mysteries to rescue the rescue team who was to rescue him and then die that day against a Death Eater.
I’m sorry, Severus. I truly am sorry.
You may not have known that before Sirius’s death, I disliked you for you were just like Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon bully and insulted my mother and father. I disliked being singled out in class. Actually more or less fear, of being singled out can be traced back to my Aunt and Uncle the Dursleys, where I was alienated and therefore bullied. If you had just been more understanding and maybe even allowed me to explain, our time in Potion would have been better. But I regret I will not be in your class no more.
You have been a strict, very harsh teacher but you were one of the best ones that I ever had.
I’m sorry I blamed you for anything and thank you for what you did in my first year when Quirrel tried to knock me off my broom. I never knew you were trying to save me, I thought you were trying to kill me.
Help Remus not to mourn my loss and that of Sirius, as they were very close friends.
Good bye Professor Severus Snape.
Your friend,
Harry James Potter’
Harry folded this one up and signed Severus name placed it by the medicine bottle. He glanced around the room for the last time, he opened the window and breathed in the cool night air of the area.
“It is time,” Harry said, as he opened the bottle and shook all the pills onto his hand and began to swallow them all. He picked up his photo album and opened it to the page where the photo of Sirius Black was at. Sirius was smiling within the picture. Harry felt the urge to cry and did not hold it in no more.
Harry quickly climbed into his PJs and slipped into bed, making sure that the book was propped against the wall where he could look at the photo as his eyes grew heavy and soon Harry Potter was asleep.

Remus Lupin was sitting at the table in the Black’s home tears of grief falling from his eyes. He had lost his best friend. There were now only two living Marauders left in the Wizardry world – Wormtail and him. He stared at the cold cup of tea in front of him and just shoved it aside.
“Now, Remus, you must drink or eat something,” spoke a voice coming from behind him. Remus glanced behind him hoping beyond hope that it was Sirius but it turned out to be only Severus Snape walking towards him with his wand raised heating the cup of tea up again and drew himself one. “I know the loss of Sirius is hard but we must get on with our lives. He wouldn’t want you to grieve for him for long.”
“I know, but I miss him. I think Harry blames himself very badly about his death.”
A white snow owl appeared from the fire place and dropped a note in front of Remus. Remus knew the owl as did Severus. Remus looked at the letter and saw that it was from Harry. He opened it up and started to read it aloud.
“Dear Remus, Severus, Moody, Dedalus, Nymphadora, Kingsley, Sturgis and Hestia. I’m sorry about Sirius being dead and all. I am to blame for his death. I, alone am to blame no one else. Do not come after me, for it will be too late. I am going to join my parents and Sirius wherever they are. By Merlin’s beard! He’s trying to commit suicide! Severus, we must hurry there’s no time to waste!” yelled Remus, as both Wizards vanished from the room.
~~~~~~~~
Two people appeared in front of the house and quickly entered the house. Remus and Severus rushed up the stairs to the bedroom of Harry Potter.
“Remus, do you think we should knock and alert him that we’re here to see him?” asked Severus.
“No, he would make us feel that he’s okay but he’s not. Alohamora!” stated Remus, as the door opened to reveal the small room and what looked like Harry sound asleep in bed.
Severus seemed relieved as he approached the young man only to notice that there was no rise of his chest and that there was an empty medicine bottle as well as a letter signed by Harry to Severus Snape himself. “No HARRY! Harry, wake up! Wake up, Harry!”
Remus was leaning against the frame of the door crying as he knew as soon as he had opened the door; he knew Harry Potter was dead. “By Merlin’s beard, we’re too late, too late.”
Just then the sounds of several people came rushing up to the room to find Severus Snape kneeling near the bed head bowed, body shaking like he was crying and Remus Lupin crying against the doorframe and then the sight that beheld them was tragic. The teenager by the name of Harry Potter, known to the Wizardry world as The Boy Who Lived lay dead in his bed, his hand on a photo named Sirius Black.
The house on Privet Drive number four will never be the same again as the Wizardry world mourned the loss of a young Wizard and the aunt and uncle of the wizard never forgave themselves for leaving him alone that night.
But somewhere, Lord Voldemort died as well leaving the Death Eaters in disarray.
The next day, the Daily Prophet reported the death of Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort but Voldemort got a small mention in the report as most of the people talked about the life of Harry Potter.
And somewhere in Heaven, a family reunion was happening.
And somewhere in the Wizardry World, a Wizard was now opening a letter from a dead student.
