Pansy glared at the Quidditch pitch angrily. Last night had not gone well. She knew losing her virginity would hurt but there had to be more to it than a few dry humps. She thought she had made the right decision but it was obvious she hadn’t.
Draco flew by lazily. The impromptu game featured players from all houses with the sole purpose of releasing pent up energy. Since the fall of the dark lord, these games occurred with more frequency and more diversity among players, since there was no more threat, people began being themselves.
“So how did it go?” Hermione Granger settled down on the grass next to her. Pansy had to admit, the new friendships that came along when the war ended were very satisfying. No one associated with her because of who she knew or what her family could do. They liked her for her. It was something she was fast becoming used to.
“It just went.” She sighed. She had told Hermione of her plans to get rid of her virginity, leaving out who she had chosen. She eyed Draco again and shook her head. “I knew it was going to hurt but I guess I was expecting to feel something too. I mean, you‘d think giving someone my virginity entitles me to a reward of some kind, right?”
“I know what you mean, my first time was awful.” Hermione admitted, dramatically expressing the urge to vomit. Pansy grinned.
“Who was it?” Pansy’s curiosity got the best of her, and she couldn’t resist asking.
“Viktor Krum.” She said without hesitation. They had gone through the same thing after all and Hermione enjoyed a girl talk session as much as any other young lady.
“The fastest seeker in the world?” Pansy was shocked. Handsome. Charming. A pro-athlete. She imagined he’d be great in the sack. Hermione rolled her eyes.
“The fasted everything in the world apparently.” Pansy fell on her back and erupted in laughter. It felt good to laugh again. After a moment she sat up and realized Hermione was laughing right along with her.
“So who was it Pansy?” She asked. Hermione had proven that she could keep a secret so Pansy admitted hers.
“Draco.” Hermione raised both eyebrows.
“Wow,” she looked up at the game, “I had thought about having a go with him myself.”
“Maybe it will better for you then it was for me.” She shrugged.
“The second time is always better.” Hermione said.
“Really?”
“Yes particularity if you tell the guy that your first time was horrible. He tries even harder because he doesn’t want you to go to all of your friends saying he was even worse than the first. Guys are very vain about that sort of thing” Herminie said with a smile. A very big smile. Pansy raised her left eyebrow.
“Who did you get?”
“Fred and George.” She said with a sinister grin.
“WHAT?!” Pansy’s eye flew open. “TOGETHER.”
Hermione let out an evil giggle. “Look Pansy, the first time, you worry about losing it. That’s all you think about. The pain of the first time, and thinking certain things are going to happen but they don’t, and what is he thinking, etc. etc. Once that’s over and done with and you know what to expect then you can relax and enjoy it.” Hermione looked off into the distance. “There’s Ginny, I told her I would help her out with her potions essay. I’ll see you later.” Giving Pansy a quick hug she took off.
Pansy looked up at the pitch again, her eyes recognizing various payers.
Harry Potter was flying the fastest. She thought about Hermione’s comments on Viktor being fast and decided maybe seekers weren’t for her. She didn’t like to prejudge that way but then again, Draco proved that point.
Justin, a boy from Hufflepuff, flew by and was looking around lost. Apparently without uniforms he was confused. No, he would most likely be more nervous than her, and from the looks of things wouldn’t know anymore then she did.
Dean Thomas was also flying, clutching a beaters bat. He seemed to maneuver alright and she could see he was a gentleman, but then again Pansy heard he still had a thing for Ginny. If she went to him and Ginny still had feelings for him then that would cause a whole lot of drama that she didn’t want.
Gregory Goyle was on the sidelines. He was a friend, as Draco was, so that was a point against him. Besides she knew he talked to Draco about everything and if he was getting tips that way then she already knew he would have no idea what he was doing. Besides she also knew he had a tendency to brag about any success he had.
Vincent Crabbe was also out of the question. Just like Gregory, he could not keep his mouth shut for any reason, and before a day passed the whole of Slytherin house would know. There was also the fact that Pansy was not attracted to him. She should at least be pleased with who she chose.
Neville Longbottom was also on the sidelines cheering on his friends. Pansy was shocked to find herself actually considering him. He wasn’t the type she was normally drawn to, but then again, considering who she was drawn to had turned out to be less than adequate, she found herself seeing guys differently. He’s very brave. He fought alongside Harry, Ron and Hermione as well as the whole Weasley family. He got revenge for his parents by taking out Bella Lestrange during the war. Bella had her wand aimed at Ron, but Pansy had a feeling it was revenge rather than saving Ron that motivated him. Either reason was good enough though. Neville never backed down. No matter how much people teased him, or how often Professor Snape chastised on him in class, he never gave up and kept on trying. But Pansy felt she was still too inexperienced enough when it came to sex to help him out in that department. She had a feeling Neville would do better with an experienced woman, who had more patience. The last thing she wanted was to end up making him, or her for that matter, regret anything.
She saw Marcus Flint speed by. No way in hell. He had a reputation for being cruel and domineering with women. There was no chance she would put herself in a vulnerable situation with him. She wanted a man who would treat her like a lady, and be gentle.
Seamus Finnegan was also hanging about, but Pansy dismissed him right away. He always jumped to conclusions and was ignorant when it came to girls feelings. Hermione had commented often enough on how he never thought about what he said to girls, then became confused when he made them mad. He also made no effort to understand them, so Pansy knew he wouldn’t care about her feelings or her needs.
Pansy let out a sigh, then her eyes found Ron Weasley. He was taking a drink of water from an ever filling goblet of water he had mounted on one of the rings. His hair was slightly longer and a bit shaggy, but it fit Ron’s personality. While Ron was a gentleman in every sense of the word, he was also rough around the edges. Pansy smiled at the thought. Ron was, in his own way, very endearing.
Perched on his broom, Ron slowly eased down to the ground with the other players. Pansy tucked herself behind the tree she was leaning against and watched them. One by one they all left in different directions for different reasons with the exception of Ron. He dropped his broom and picked up his bag taking out a towel and a black t shirt. Pansy’s heart sped up as he ripped off his sweaty shirt and leaning down, doused his hair with water. Shaking his head, like a wet dog, he dried his face then called over his shoulder, “You can come out now Pansy.”
Shit! He knew she was watching. She walked out with her hands in her pockets. She blushed as she approached. Shirtless, Ron was quite a specimen. Quidditch had truly done him well. Water droplets fell onto his shoulders. “Your back is getting wet Ron.” He grinned and handed her the towel.
“Would you mind?” Without waiting for a reply he turned his back to her. She dried off the dampness. Her body warmed at the feel of his muscles under her hands. The firmness of his active lifestyle was evident to her touch. She wondered what the rest of him would feel like. How would he use that body with a woman? Would he be passionate?
In her daydreaming the towel had slipped out of her hands. She froze when her hand felt the heat of his skin. She slid her hand up his back caressing his shoulders. She saw his head drop slightly to one side, but he made no move to stop her. She drew her hand back down to his trim waist. When he let out a low groan she pulled her hand away.
She didn’t realize she was panting until Ron turned around and asked, “Are you alright?” He reached up and rested a hand lightly on her shoulder. She jumped where she stood and looked at him. He was watching her intently. His lips parted. Those soft lips invited her…..
“I’m fine.” She said stepping back. Suddenly she couldn’t breathe. Nor speak. “I have to go.” It came out in a forced breathe. She turned and ran, leaving a stunned Ron behind her. He pulled on his t shirt and made his way to Gryffindor tower. He might not have the best marks in school but he knew when a girl was interested. He threw his towel over his shoulder and smiled as he walked.
