Prologue
When I was little, everyone admired my intelligence. When I was little, intelligence like mine was something to be treasured. When I was little, well when I was little was a long time ago.
I’m 18 now; most people fear my intelligence. I’m 18 now; my intelligence is treasured by those who seek to use and abuse it. I’m 18 now; my life is very different.
My name is Hermione Granger; number one in my year; one third of the Golden Trio.
Since becoming a witch my life has changed drastically. I’ve been prejudiced and labeled since stepping onto the Hogwarts Express. For reasons and circumstances beyond my control I’ve been idolized and hated.
I don’t pretend to have an easy life however I don’t flaunt my hardships either. All in all, I can honestly say I love the life that I currently have.
Maybe in saying this I’m being selfish, nonetheless there is one thing that I wish I had; one thing that most girls my age want or have. That one thing I want, the thing I’m probably damning myself for wanting it, is a boyfriend.
A/N I'll probably up-date every two to three days. Don't know how long it's going to be yet. I know this chapter is short, but I didn't feel like adding the first chapter today... will most likely post it tomorrow seeing as how it's done. Enjoy
