This is a story based on the Harry Potter canon but set in an alternate universe in which Voldemort has won the wizarding war and killed Harry Potter. It involves characters created and owned by JK Rowling and NOT me. I do not claim credit for the characters featured in this story, except the ones I have quite obviously made up.

If you are not a fan of original characters do not read this story. You have been warned (Although I hope you'll give it a chance!).

This story features scenes of non-consensual sex, bdsm, violence, humiliation and all that other good stuff. I will go into more detail chapter by chapter, but you can pretty much consider it Adult+ from the start, probably veering into Adult++, again, you have been warned.

If you're not big on background info, I suggest skipping to chapter 2.

It is 2008. Ten years have passed since the Second Wizarding War and the rise of Lord Voldemort. Harry Potter's death at the hands of Voldemort had put an end to the struggles against the attacking Death Eaters and Aurors and Hogwarts students alike surrendered or were overpowered. The wizarding community became the ruling class, with Death Eaters taking over. First the U.K then Europe and soon after the rest of the world.

Voldemort took his place as the ruler of what used to be The United Kingdom. The little fight that the Muggle world could put up was quickly squashed when the full power of Lord Voldemort and his followers was demonstrated. Most of the magical community that had opposed or been indifferent to Voldemort's campaign joined his forces. Thousands of Muggles were killed: their weapons no match for the magic that their enemies possessed.

The newly revealed magical world held many dangers for it's previously oblivious Muggle inhabitants and without the witches and wizards willing to takes steps to shield them from those dangers many fell victim to magical creatures that now roamed freely. Many took their own lives. Muggle families were found in their homes, slumped together in their living rooms, empty bottles of sleeping pills at their feet. The survivors constantly lived in fear.

After a while it was discovered by some wizards that it was very handy to have Muggle servants about the house, they had fewer rights than house elves and required very little in the way of food and care. If a servant died, it was fairly easy to come by a new one. Small groups of Muggles hiding, usually in deserted villages were rounded up and taken to camps to be sold at auctions.

In this new and frightening world we find Anna. Anna was twelve when everything she had ever known went to hell. It was 1998, she was just starting her second year at Secondary school. Strange things had been happening, she had seen news reports of terrible accidents in London, people were going missing and there were always sirens and flashing lights rushing past her bedroom window at night. She heard her parents whispering about strange visitors at work, they both worked for the British Government but she wasn't sure exactly what they did.

Late one night her father had whisked Anna from her bed and with her mother they had fled their house. Through her sleepy eyes Anna could see figures flying through the air, people screaming and green flashes of light everywhere. Her family had managed to get into their car and drive far out into the countryside. They took shelter in a village hall along with several other Muggle families that Anna knew from her home town.

The adults had been planning their escape for months. One of Anna's friends that she had attended Primary School with, Matthew Morgan, had gone to the Wizarding school Hogwarts and his parents had managed to convince their friends of the impending danger. Despite only being in his second year he was an incredibly skilled Wizard and he managed to cast several protection spells over their hiding place.

Many of the hiding Muggles at first would not accept the explanation given to them, they believed this must be some sort of foreign invasion or terrorism. Several friendly witches and wizards visited the hiding Muggles and brought food and supplies with them. The longer the Muggles stayed within the protection of these benevolent magical people the less protest they made when strange things happened. As for Anna she didn't much care what these people were or what they could do, it could have been something to do with being a child but it had always seemed obvious to her that there must be magic in the world and besides which she didn't have to go to school any more, which to a twelve year old was just about the best thing that could ever happen.

The group of muggles was at first about 30 strong, the small village hall just about held them all comfortably, and with the supplies from the wizarding families they managed fairly well. Anna liked living there, it was like one long camping trip, she thought, Although she hated the cold showers they were forced to have due to the lack of electricity.

After a year, three families had left to find elsewhere and five Muggle men had been killed while on a medicine run to the nearest hospital. They had been found by two young witches who proceeded to practice hexes on them. Children from wizarding families now had free reign to practice magic wherever they liked now that the Statute of Secrecy had been broken. They especially liked to perform hexes on Muggles as they would never get in trouble for whatever mess they made out of them.

Anna and the other children in the group were under no circumstances to venture further than the end of the lawns surrounding the hall and most of the time none of them did. They had been told by Matthew about all the horrible magical creatures that could now roam about where they pleased and Anna did not fancy being squashed by a giant. Though she would have quite liked to see a unicorn.

The Muggles mostly concerned themselves with staying alive, they grew vegetables and collected firewood when they could. They managed to build several makeshift rooms in the hall so that they could attain some privacy. The adults did their best to educate the children in how to survive and by the time Anna and her friends were 16 years old they had almost forgotten the lives they had led before the fall of Harry Potter.

They were now fully capable of looking after themselves and a few of the teenagers had taken over one of the makeshift rooms of the hall. Anna slept in this room with her two best friends Claire and Lara, whom she had known for longer than she could recall. Matthew also stayed in this room with two other Muggle boys. Anna liked Matthew, he had grown a lot since they had hidden themselves away, his curly black hair had grown a little wild of late and his chocolate brown eyes peeked out from under his messy fringe when he spoke to Anna. She couldn't really call him her boyfriend as such, but they had kissed and fumbled in that inimitable teenage way on more than one occasion.

Matthew tried to teach them as much as he knew about the wizarding world to prepare them against any attacks that they might encounter, however he knew as well as they did that if they were discovered it would be slavery or death. On the eve of Anna's eighteenth birthday, six years after they had escaped the clutches of Voldemort's death eaters they were found.

Anna and her friends had acquired some Firewhiskey from Matthew's wizard friends and they had decided to sit outside to enjoy the late summer sunset. Lara was particularly drunk and singing a rather out of tune rendition of 'Happy birthday' to Anna and Claire was dancing a funny little jig on the spot. Anna adored her friends, she couldn't remember meeting either of them for the very first time as they had been so young, but she could remember their first day at Primary school, walking into the school grounds all three of them holding hands, wearing their uncomfortable school uniforms and carrying their lunch boxes. They were a perfect set of puzzle pieces, Lara was sweet, nurturing and more than a little dizzy. She was taller than both Anna and Claire, built a bit like a gazelle with long dark hair inherited from her dad who was Indian. She had been particularly fond of pink sparkly objects when they were at school. Claire was in some ways the polar opposite to Lara, fiercely logical and organised and at times a little cold, but she had a heart of gold underneath. Anna and Lara didn't need to hear it from her to know that she loved them. Her appearance somewhat contradicted her personality, with a fairly substantial pair of breasts, which had appeared a short while after her fourteenth birthday and incited almost constant teasing from the muggle boys they lived with. Claire looked like she had just stepped out of a Thomas Hardy novel, pale skin and long chestnut hair framed a beautiful face. Anna knew she had nothing on her friends in the looks department, but she had stopped herself from ever feeling resentful towards them. She knew that they must stay strong together, if anything happened to their parents then they would have to rely on each other. Still, when Anna looked in the mirror and saw a short, slightly chubby face staring back at her through plain brown eyes and dirty blonde hair she couldn't help but feel disappointed.

Anna was laughing at Lara's tuneful singing when Claire suddenly clapped a hand over Lara's mouth. “Look!” she squealed, the group turned to the spot at which she was feverishly pointing to see what looked like a white horse trotting through the trees that surrounded the hall.

“A.. it's a..a... unicorn!” mumbled Lara through Claire's hand. Anna stood up slowly, and took a tentative step towards the beast that she had been longing to see her entire life. Anna felt as if the whole world melted away as she approached the beautiful creature, she didn't hear the screams behind her or see the flash of the curses until the unicorn bolted and disappeared into the trees. Matthew threw a stunning spell past her and grabbed her hand pulling her back towards the hall.

“No!” Anna screamed, “We have to lure them away!' Lara and Claire looked on in terror as Anna ran towards the approaching wizards, she dodged a couple of hexes thrown at her and veered off to the right and into the trees. One of the attackers shouted something and the other robed figure ran after her. Matthew followed along after them both. Anna could run, but not for long and it was only a short while before the wizard had caught up to her, he threw a stunning spell and Anna's world went black.
