I will show you how
all the bite marks impress
a need to be here

The fact that they had gone through with the wedding was shocking. The union had sparked quite a bit of passion from both sides. The Burden family could not possibly let their eldest, most handsome son Thaddeus marry the bastard child (likely a half blood!) and a Squib! Not to mention a member of the Prince family. Eileen Prince wasn’t too keen on her daughter marrying a member of the family she had despised nearly as much as her own as a child, the son of the man she had nearly been forced into marrying. Phaedra and Thaddeus had paid no mind to their families and both families watched with displeasure as the happy newlyweds danced their first dance after being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Burden (an announcement that caused a great deal of wincing, glaring, and muttering from both ends).
To the pleasure of the happy new couple, however, they weren‘t getting nearly the attention they had anticipated, all because Thaddeus had made a very good friend in the past year…One of his groomsmen had been Harry Potter, and having the Savior of the Wizarding World in their midst had attracted a great deal of attention, even from such a horrid scandal. Harry Potter was well aware of the unwanted attention and was doing his best to ignore it and had half a mind to give Thaddeus a good talking to later.
Fortunatley or unfortunately, Harry’s attention was preoccupied, and found it incredibly easy to ignore the nosy crowd. He sat at a table where the offended occupants had given up on including him in any sort of conversation. He casually glanced around the room, letting himself admire the newlyweds dancing. It was good to see his friend happy, even if he had been invited as a distraction. Harry shook his head and let his eyes travel over their desired destination, wishing he could afford to look for more than a few seconds longer.
His gaze always met those black eyes. No one noticed or cared about Severus Snape with Harry Potter in the room or with the pair who were perfectly pleased to shame their families. Harry cared, though…There was no one in this room he cared about more.
“Excuse me,” he whispered suddenly, standing up and striding out of the ballroom before anyone at the table could say a word. He couldn’t take it anymore, just sitting there, and he was pleased to know he was being followed only moments later. His heart was racing excitedly while his stomach twisted up in fearful nausea. Harry didn’t know what to think about all of this, but he found it very hard to think at the moment…At least thinking of anything other than the very vivid imagery flashing through his head the closer he got to the door.
Harry pushed open the door and reached out to grab the front of the man’s black robes to pull him in and slam the door shut behind them. Severus only chuckled and pressed the younger man against the door. “Graceful as ever, Mr. Potter,” the man murmured, leaning in to let his hot breath flow over Harry’s skin, his thin lips just barely brushing against the flesh. Harry had no answer but to grasp the man’s sides and pull him closer. He was dizzy in his arousal and the man was making him want to punch him, though he doubted that would earn him the kiss he desperately wanted. “Incorrigible as ever,” Severus murmured after a few moments as Harry wiggled anxiously beneath him, desperate for more contact, though Severus was careful enough to barely touch him. Harry grabbed him and pulled at him, but Severus was strong enough to resist…Only allowing faint touches, be it his lips or his fingertips or even his body. He touched Harry just enough to tease, but never enough to please.
“Goddamn it, Snape, I swear to Merlin I will go out there and drag someone else in here if you don’t--”
Severus didn‘t move…He did the very opposite. He froze entirely, slowly raising his head enough to glower dangerously at Harry. “You will not blackmail me into giving you what you want,” he growled. He moved slightly, but Harry grabbed him tightly to keep him from going away. He couldn‘t help but to be annoyed by the older man, but that feeling didn‘t drive away his desire and desperation.
“What will?” he all but snapped in his frustration.
“Beg for it.”
“Um, no. You will not make me beg,” Harry retorted.
Severus just smirked. “I suppose that means we’re stuck here, Potter.”
“I suppose so.”
Harry shifted against the door and couldn‘t stop himself from brushing against Severus‘s body in the process. He bit back a groan and stood tall, trying to keep his glare in place as he stared up into the man‘s face. That familiar face…Thin and pale with thin lips and a too-big nose and dark eyes that once filled him with so much hate and fear that now filled him with such an intense passion he could hardly keep himself contained.
He was far from being traditionally attractive, though Harry found it hard these days to find anything ugly about the man…Knowing he was unattractive and actually viewing him as unattractive were two very different things, at least to Harry. Even more strange was how attached he had become to this man in more than just the physical aspect…A man he and his friends once despised. He could hardly get enough of him now…A man twenty years older than him. This entire situation was so bizarre. Just a year ago, this man had been one of the top ten most unlikely people Harry could imagine himself in this situation with, and now Severus had gone to being the only one on the list he could imagine being here with.
It all started about a month after Harry defeated Voldemort. He had gone into hiding in the Muggle world, in hopes of avoiding the pressures and inconveniences of fame while he tried to figure himself out. He met Thaddeus in town one day and the two became fast friends…Eventually Thaddeus told Harry he was helping take care of Severus Snape. Thaddeus was a talented Healer and Severus had preferred to be cared for outside of St. Mungos, for reasons Harry hadn’t really gathered. Still, Harry had been eager to see the man, pleased to hear he had survived Nagini’s bite. He wanted to apologize and thank the man and offer any help he could. While he was greeted with little warmth, they gradually got used to each other. Especially when Harry became pushy about helping when Severus was in no state to refuse or command anything. The man had been a mess, Harry recalled…More weak and damaged than Harry remembered seeing anyone.
Severus wasn’t weak now, Harry couldn’t help but think…As light as his touches were, Harry felt completely under the man’s power and possession. That was exactly what he wanted…A feeling he was quickly growing fond of.
Quick was definitely the right word. Harry had only admitted to himself a week ago that he was not only gay, but definitely attracted to Severus Snape and maybe even had feelings for him beyond that. And being a Gryffindor, he wasted no time making his intentions very well known. It had taken a few days of fighting with the man before finally getting somewhere. The man insulted him plenty at first. Harry had been nearly ready to give up that first day, figuring it was a lost cause…But Thaddeus quickly encouraged him not to give up, with more than a few hints that the effort would not be wasted. Eventually the man‘s anger over the subject hinted that it got to him a lot more than a silly crush should.
Finally, when Harry kissed him last night, Severus returned it, easily turning it around to become in complete control of the kiss.
They snogged a good bit in Severus’s bed before Harry reluctantly left. He knew he’d need sleep for Thaddeus’s wedding…Of course he had been surprised to watch Severus walking the bride (who was apparently his younger half sister) down the aisle. Harry had been shocked and embarrassed to see the man after last night, though Severus gave no indication that he remembered anything from last night. Harry hadn’t expected Severus to be there, let alone Phaedra’s brother. He was sort of annoyed with them both for not telling him, though by the time the reception rolled around, Harry found it hard to keep his irritation front and center when other emotions were battling for dominance.
He had yet to figure out what it all meant. Severus had followed him here, though he wasn‘t sure if that was a good sign or not. Severus at least was attracted to him, though beyond that Harry didn‘t know and was honestly afraid to say anything about it. He knew he wanted more from the man…He wasn‘t in love or anything…It was much too early for that. But he knew he had feelings for him and as strange and insane as it was to want a relationship with Severus Snape, he found he enjoyed the man‘s presence very much. Even when he was driving him crazy.
“Foolish Gryffindor.”
“Evil Slytherin.”
“Impatient boy.”
“Old pervert.”
“Mmm…You’re trembling.”
“Bloody hell, kiss me already!”
“I already gave you my demands.”
“If you’re not going to kiss me, then get the fuck off of me!” Harry snapped, growing angrier by the second as he shoved at Snape’s chest. The man was moved, but he quickly moved back, closer to Harry than ever, a strange look in his black eyes.
“You’re not going to make this easy, are you?”
“You can’t control me.”
“Really? Because you seem to enjoy it very much,” Severus muttered, moving his face closer, his lips dangerously close to Harry‘s. Harry‘s breath caught in his throat and he eagerly licked his lips, his green eyes glued to Severus‘s intense black gaze, filled with just as much annoyance and desperate passion as Harry‘s was.
“Sometimes,” he admitted in a whisper.
“Hmmm.”
Every inch of his body was alert, completely aware of every inch of Severus. The man’s body was hard and warm and tall and oddly being so near him made Harry feel as though he were wrapped in a blanket, comfortable and safe. He smelled faintly of soap and cologne and his breath carried the scent of the coffee he must have had this morning and the wine he had tasted at the reception. His black hair was soft where Harry could feel it touching his face, probably due to not having been around his potions in so long and probably from having enjoyed a nice, long bath or shower this morning in preparation for the wedding. Harry enjoyed the feeling immensely.
He felt as though he could see and feel and smell everything about Severus right now. His skin tingled and a shiver ran down his spine. His heart was beating so hard it was almost painful. He felt overwhelmed and might have started screaming at the man again if he had any power left to do so and if he had his mind clear enough to think straight. Instead he just waited, not daring to move or speak as the man slowly moved closer to him.
Severus’s lips brushed against his gently and Harry grasped Severus’s arms tightly. He wanted more so badly, but he knew what would happen if he tried. Instead he focused on trying to stay still, letting Severus have the control he wanted. Every kiss was slow and deliberate and firmer than the last. Harry was trembling and his head was spinning so fast he was surprised he was still standing. He felt as though he was melting, liquefying more and more the deeper Severus kissed him until he felt like he was drowning in himself. At some point, Severus’s strong arms wrapped around him, holding him close and keeping him steady.
He couldn‘t breathe. He couldn‘t think. He couldn‘t have cared less. If he was going to die, he wanted it to be right here, doing this. The feel of Severus‘s warmth all around him and the strong taste of him in his mouth while every piece of him surrendered to this pleasurable possession, completely losing himself in the older man. The more Severus‘s lips moved against his, the more he could feel himself slipping away into that dark and exotic abyss. It was as if Severus was stealing away his very life and soul by this method and Harry would gladly let him if he never had to be pulled from this tantalizing new existence. He never wanted to let it go.
The sharp knocking on the door did little to shock either man out of their divine moment. Harry was barely aware of anything interrupting them at all. Slowly, though, he felt the change as Severus became more aware of his surroundings, slowly and reluctantly pulling away as a stern female voice called out. “Severus! Severus, I know you’re in there! Get out here…You must make a toast to your sister and her knew…Burden,” said the voice distastefully.
“Damnable family,” Severus muttered in irritation, though he resumed kissing Harry in that slow progression out, just as slow and tender as it had been going in. Harry felt himself sobering up slightly, though Severus was regaining his sanity much faster.
“Severus Alexander Snape, for the--”
“I‘m coming, Mother!” Severus snapped, finally pulling away and smirking as Harry stumbled and fell gracelessly to the floor. He blinked in confusion as Snape opened the door. “Come to my home tonight, Potter…If you manage to regain brain function by then,” the man said before slipping out of the bathroom and following his mother back to the ballroom of Burden Manor. Harry Potter, however, was left sitting on the floor, back pressed against the bathtub while he pulled himself together.
That was by far the most embarrassing thing he could remember…He was furious with Severus for doing such a thing to him…Making him so weak. He almost worried that he was turning into a girl, but Harry reassured himself that letting Severus have control and enjoying it didn’t mean he was any less of a man…It was hard to feel very confident and masculine, though, when just being near Severus Snape did very strange things to him. Harry was tempted to storm out of this place and go home and ignore Severus’s request to see him later. He wasn’t Severus’s pet or his slave or anything…He wasn’t going to do anything Severus demanded. He wasn’t that desperate.
Getting to his feet, he checked himself in the mirror and straightened his maroon dress robes. He was irritated and wanted to do many things just to prove a point and salvage some pride, but he still found himself considering going over to Severus’s later and felt a rush of excitement, just imagining what might take place.
Harry was sure many of his old classmates would be stunned to think anyone was sexually or otherwise interested in Severus Snape…Harry swore to Merlin, though, that it would only take a kiss from the man to quiet any fuss about it.
He would never suggest such a thing, however. The mere thought of the man kissing someone else was highly unwelcome.

“He‘s half your age, Severus.”
Severus sighed as he glanced at his mother. He hardly even noticed her approached the table, which was odd, considering his many years as a spy. His mother stood behind the empty seat right next to him, eying him critically through her sharp dark blue gaze. She was rather small compared to most people in the room, standing only five foot one, but the way she carried herself made her seem so much stronger and taller than that. Her black and gray hair was cut short these days and the lines in her face were very pronounced and almost strange. Before this year, the last time he had seen her had been at the age of seventeen…They had both aged a lot since then. Knowing they were both older, though, didn’t make actually seeing how age had punished his parents right. It was strange seeing them both looking so worn and aged. To the consternation of the many Wizarding guests, pureblood Eileen was donning Muggle clothes…A simple, rose pink dress with gray shoes. It had been bad enough to run off and elope with a Muggle and hide away as a Muggle for several decades, but to show up to such an important event in such Muggle rags…Severus doubted it was for lack of Wizarding attire or lack of funds. Thaddeus’s mother, Ophelia Burden, had offered to buy Eileen something for the wedding, which she refused stubbornly. Even at the age of sixty four, she still held that rebellious spirit she had had in her youth. Indeed, his mother seemed more pleased than anything by the reaction she caused among family members.
“On the contrary, Mother. He won‘t really be half my age until next year. He‘s only nineteen now.”
“Oh, don‘t be a smart arse, Severus!” Eileen snapped, pulling out the chair and sitting beside him.
“I cannot help that I was blessed with great intelligence.”
“Hush. Don’t try to change the subject. The Boy Who Lived, Severus? Really?”
“Quieter, woman. We don’t need these idiots running their mouths everywhere.”
Eileen huffed. “What does it even matter what anyone knows, Severus? It’s not like either of you has been involved enough in the Wizarding world to even know what they’re saying.”
She couldn’t just leave things alone, could she? Severus gritted his teeth and took a long sip of his wine. It was true…Neither he or Harry had rejoined the magical world since the fall of the Dark Lord. Severus was sure Harry was likely hiding from all of the attention and Severus couldn’t blame him much…Severus was much doing the same thing. He wasn’t nearly as famous as their savior, but Harry had declared him a hero he’d heard rumor that Rita Skeeter was writing about him. Many reporters made many speculations, some refusing to believe he really was on the right side of things while others praised his heroism. Then there were certainly surviving Death Eaters who might want to extract revenge, especially those who had been as wildly loyal as Bellatrix Lestrange had been.
“This isn’t your decision. Now stay out of it.”
“I will not stay out of this! Se--”
“Severus!”
Eileen sighed and leaned back in her chair while Severus suddenly found himself enveloped in his sister‘s arms. He patted her arms softly and turned to look at her as she sat down beside him. She was his twenty three year old half sister, fairing far better in her looks than Severus and Eileen ever had. She wasn‘t necessarily beautiful, but she was by no means ugly. She was rather homely looking with Eileen‘s dark blue eyes and her father‘s dark blond hair. She was too tall for most girls, standing only three inches shorter than her brother and two shorter than her husband. She was too thin and too pale and no where near pretty enough for her dashing husband…At least according to the whispers all around the room, mostly from the Burden family. It irritated Severus to no end, who had always thought of Phaedra as being a very lovely young woman. Severus saw none of the plainness or the ugliness the others did, and neither, apparently, did her husband. Phaedra Burden was grinning broadly, such a happy and lively smile that could light up the room and warmed even Severus Snape‘s cold, guarded heart.
“Your speech was lovely,” Phaedra said happily, smoothing down the skirt of her white wedding robes. “It was better than Tad‘s sister, Regina, politely informing everyone of how unfortunate her brother is and implying I force fed him some sort of love potion or Imperiused him…As if I could,” Phaedra snorted. Considering everyone had been talking about the fact that Phaedra was a Squib from the day the two announced their engagement, Severus had no idea why anyone would think such a thing.
“If your husband turns out looking like his father, I don’t think he’s the one who would be considered unfortunate,” Severus muttered, eying Bartholomew Burden who was across the room, flirting with a young witch right in front of his wife. An underage witch, in fact…Severus recognized her as one of his Slytherins, young Astoria Greengrass who wouldn’t turn seventeen for another few months.
“Oh hush, Sev,” Phaedra said, rolling her eyes. “Bad enough I hear that sort of talk from all ends,” she said, glaring at their mother who was pointedly looking away. “Looks like you lucked out, though. Harry Potter?” Phaedra said with a grin.
Severus turned to glare at their mother who had turned to look at Phaedra curiously. “Merlin, she knows?” Phaedra asked, frowning. Severus raised his eyebrow at his sister, who waved a picture in front of him. His eyes grew wide as he saw that it was a magical picture of him snogging Harry Potter against the bathroom door. “Bartholomew and Ophelia‘s house elf had apparently been in there when you two showed up. Ophelia apparently had Effy taking pictures for the wedding…Anyway, Tad and I got this for you. Effy says no one else has seen it and Tad made her swear not to tell anyone what she saw. Figured you‘d like it better that way,” she explained as Severus took the picture and quickly stuffed it in his robes.
“I told you, Severus. No good is going to come from this! You were already careless enough to let a house elf gather proof,” Eileen muttered.
“Don’t say that, Mother!” Phaedra argued. “I think Severus deserves to be happy…” She looked like she might say more, but decided against it and took a sip of her own champagne. “So, Severus…What is the deal with you and Harry Potter? That was quite the kiss, by the looks of it. Are you together?”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Phaedra!” Eileen snapped, giving a harsh look towards both of her children. “It’s bad enough you had to marry that foolish boy.”
“Don’t start now, Mother. It’s my wedding day,” Phaedra said stiffly.
“Nothing good can come of this, Phaedra! It‘s only a matter of time before this joke of a marriage is over.”
“So, Severus?” Phaedra asked, ignoring their mother.
“I don’t believe that’s anyone’s business, Phaedra,” Severus replied, glancing up at the dance floor where he caught Harry dancing with a young woman with auburn hair. His eyes narrowed dangerously at the girl, then at Harry when he caught sight of that boy’s cheeky grin.
“He was your student, Severus!” Eileen said loudly.
“Love knows no boundaries,” Phaedra replied coolly. Silly romantic nonsense, both mother and son couldn’t help but to think.
“This certainly isn’t love, Phaedra,” Severus replied, glancing up at the boy once more. Harry was looking at him more and more…He would be noticed before long and Severus couldn’t help but smirk. The boy was forgetting himself, it seemed…All because of one little kiss…
“Well it could be,” Phaedra argued. “Anyway, I think he will do you some good, Severus.”
“Good? He’s a man! He’s your ex student, Severus! He’s twenty years your junior! He’s Lily Evans’s son! He’s the Golden Boy. He’s young and handsome and famous and a Gryffindor! This entire affair is entirely improper!”
“Stop discouraging him, Mother! None of that matters, Severus. If he makes you happy, that’s the only thing that’s important.”
Unforutnatley, Severus could feel his mother’s words getting to him. Involving himself with an ex pupil…The son of his enemy and the son of the one person he ever loved. Severus continued watching the boy dance (not a very graceful dancer, he noted), feeling very torn indeed. Logically, none of this made sense and even indulging in the little bit of pleasure he had with the boy was immoral. Knowing this, however, didn’t stop him from desiring the boy or even caring about him. Just the thought of feeling anything other than lust for the child made him loathe himself.
“He’s going to get hurt,” Eileen insisted.
“There‘s always a risk of getting hurt! But…! C‘mon, Sev! Things with Lily never worked out, but that doesn‘t mean love isn‘t real or that you can‘t have it! Give it a chance, Severus, because you cannot live the rest of your life in miserable solitude! I love you too much to watch you ruin this for yourself.”
Severus sneered. “You know nothing,” he said, tensing in his chair as he watched that red haired harlot grab Harry and kiss him. Jealousy tore through him and it took considerable restraint not to hex the little slut where he sat. No words…He wouldn’t even need his wand. Only a second later, Harry pushed her away and Severus let himself relax. He heard his mother sigh from his left and he swore he could almost feel Phaedra’s smile from his right.
“You let her get away. Don‘t let this chance run away from you, too,” she whispered quietly.
“Congratulations on your marriage, Phaedra. May yours be less tumultuous than our mother’s. Enjoy your honeymoon,” Severus said, standing and sweeping out of the room, leaving his mother and sister to bicker behind him. He headed towards the door, only sparing one glance back at Harry Potter, who met his eyes. Severus wasn’t sure what sort of signal he gave the boy…Was it a glare harsh enough to ensure the boy stayed away or a burning desire strong enough to seduce him? Maybe his look was only as confused as his feelings currently were. Severus did not enjoy being confused about his own damned thoughts and feelings. Matters of the heart were rarely uncomplicated, though, and recognizing that this matter was such an important one left him feeling ill.
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
If he came, Severus was going to hex him.
If he came, Severus was going to kiss him until they both forgot themselves.
The internal debate had been raging in his mind since he left the Burden Manor and returned to his home on Spinner’s End. Severus Snape liked control and he liked being certain of himself and events. What to do about Harry Potter was one thing he could not easily figure out. The boy just couldn’t resist screwing with his life! It had to be the Potter in him…How on Earth Severus found himself having romantic feelings for that annoying little whelp was beyond him. Maybe he was losing his mind, as they had all feared the poison of Nagini would cause him to do. He had lost his mind and that explained everything.
Might as well enjoy this insanity, if that’s the case, a voice in his mind said. In response he reminded himself of all of the reasons this was an awful idea.
Severus had come home and immediately sat down in his living room chair, turning it to face the door. The boy was surely coming…Severus didn’t question that. All he had to do was wait. Despite everything, he felt more and more irritated every time he checked the clock. He had left twenty minutes ago! Where was--
The door flung open and Severus was immediately on his feet, all rational thought flying away as he quickly marched through the living room, standing right in front of the boy as he closed the door. “You’re late,” he growled, grabbing the boy’s arm and dragging him further into the house.
“You didn’t give me a specific time to be here,” Harry snapped, glaring at him. He struggled and managed to pull out of Severus’s grasp, though Severus only grabbed him again and shoved him down onto the couch. “In fact, you said to come over tonight…It’s not even night yet!”
“Fine then. You’re early,” Severus retorted, agitation making him want to strangle the boy. His body disobeyed and instead he found himself leaning over and into him, causing the other wizard to lean back until he fell over onto his side and Severus quickly grabbed his hips and shifted him so that he was laying properly on the couch, crawling over the younger body.
“What th--!”
Harry was angry. Severus was angry. Actually, he was fuming. He hated this. Absolutely hated how quickly he was losing his control around the boy. He loathed how confused he was over this entire situation! He despised how much his mind and heart disagreed and how difficult it was to deny the latter what it wanted. He hated himself for leaning down and kissing that Gryffindor instead of cursing him as he should have. He grabbed those strong arms and pinned them to his sides, kissing him hard. The body beneath him wiggled and struggled against him, though those lips eagerly returned the bruising kiss.

Author’s Note: New story! Haven’t abandoned the others, but I had lots of inspiration for this new one. I hope everyone likes it and I really hope to get some reviews! I’d love to know what everyone thinks! Also, the title of the fanfic, the chapter title, and song lyrics are from the song “Kiss and Control” by AFI.
Also, I revised this chapter and made it longer...It felt like it was missing something going over it the first time and that's when the rest of it came in.
