  Harry Potter walked into the restaurant while chatting with Hermione. “I just don’t know Herm, we are here, and why not? I mean, we might not get jobs but hell, we might!” Both were home for summer vacation from University, and wanted a job to earn some money. Neither imagined what would happen and who they would meet.

  
  

  
  Ginny shoved Harry, her voice rising “you did what?! Did I say you could get a job? Did I say you could leave this house? You are lucky I let you hang out with Hermione!” Harry placed his head in his hands, the voices in his head screaming at him to ignore her. “Ginny, listen, you are working all the time, and I can’t just sit around here and do nothing. You are being ridiculous. I want to work. I want to go out and be a friendly person. I can’t just sit here! It’s not me!” Harry replied, his voice shaky. Ginny turned around and backhanded the dark-haired man, causing him to stagger. “You are worthless, remember that. I made you, I can break you,” she said, her eyes glaring daggers as she turned to leave. “I can have friends….you, however, cannot.” And with that she stalked out of the room, punching the wall as she went.

  
  

  
  Harry put his head in his hands as he started to cry. His body trembled as he reached for the silver dagger he always kept in his front pocket. Tan hands shook as he pressed the sharp blade to the underside of his arm. It wasn’t to kill, he just needed the release. A thin scratch formed and he sighed in relief. After about 5 minutes, there were 10 scratches covering each arm. Harry treated them, and pulled his sleeves down. He then left to go apologize to his “love.” ‘She is the best I will ever get,’ he thought, as he fixed the hole in the wall and pulled the door shut behind him.

  
  

  
  “Mr. Potter, my name is Mike Bernard. I work at the Steaming Cauldron. I am calling to inform you that we have decided to hire you. Please come dressed in company attire and ready for training on Monday at 9am. Have a wonderful day.” With that the recording ended, and Harry rushed to call Hermione. “Harry?” Hermione answered seeming breathless, ‘I know I got a job there too! We can work together! Let’s meet up in 30 minutes to find clothes!” “Alright, meet you in Diagon Ally, Herm.” Harry hung up the phone and set about gathering his things.
