Secret Affair: Love and Despair
Chapter 1: Not So Innocent Secret
A treasure, hidden from wandering eyes, laid deep in Scotland's mountains. A beautiful stone castle stood amongst rocky cliffs and grassy slopes. The dense forest and large black lake gave the structure an air of mystery and magic. Night had settled, it's inky blackness coating the grounds like a blanket. Lights shone from several windows on the castle's surface, the only indication of the many beings that live inside it's walls were awake.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was home to many teachers and students. Separated into four houses, the pre-teens and teens lived relatively happy amongst each other. A feud, started long ago when the school was first founded, further divided the students. Keeping to the tradition all Gryffindors and Slytherins hated each other on sight. Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs, however, held no such bias.
As the years waned, the hatred bred into the houses held little sway over the stronger willed teens. While many still succumbed to the unnatural hate, there were a few able to make their own decisions. Their thoughts not swayed by the linger feud left by the two founders. Among those students were two Gryffindors; Ginevra Weasley and, her best friend, Xavia Johnston

It was late, the time for curfew was only a few minutes away. The students still lingering in the halls were just beginning to making their way back to their common rooms, besides a single red head. Her small foot steps lead her deeper into the dungeon where her red and gold house colours were highly unwelcome. Those that passed her sent her scathing looks and deemed her unworthy of their usual harsh treatment, not willing to risk a detention.
Ginny sighed, trying to ignore the snakes. She was down here with a purpose, her best friend and fellow sixth year Gryffindor, Xavia had disappeared down into the dungeons after dinner, two hours ago. Colin, her other close friend, had insisted that she was merely sneaking off to see her boyfriend. However, Wyatt Laverick was a seventh year Hufflepuff and only went down into the lower levels of the castle for potions class.
After spending the last hour worried as can be, she had finally decided to go looking for the missing girl. For all she knew Xavia was lost in the twisting hall ways or being harassed by the Slytherins. Quickening her pace, she raced through the halls, looking for any signs of her friend. Ginny was risking a detention by being out at this time, but her anxiety wouldn't leave her alone swirling in her stomach like a bad case of the flu.
A melodic sound drew her attention, stopping her in her tracks. Listening intently, Ginny's eyes widened when she realized it was Xavia's voice. She slowly followed it to an old abandoned class room. Two voices came from the room mixed together in a tone she was unfamiliar with. Ginny bit her lip debating on if she should go in or if she should simply head back to her common room, it didn't sound like her friend was in trouble.
Squaring her shoulders she reached out for the doorknob, her fingers circled around the metal and gave it a slight twist. Taking a deep breath she prepared herself for whatever she would find inside and pushed the door slowly and quietly open. She took a single step into the room and froze in shock, the blood rushed from her face, eyes widened and jaw dropped.
Two people stood before her completely naked. The woman was bent over a desk, her ample chest and flat stomach pressed hard into the surface of wood. Her long curly blonde hair was fisted tightly in a dark skinned hand, pulling her head back baring her throat in an animalistic fashion, showing off the top of her chest. Her eyes were closed in pure pleasure, her mouth slightly parted as soft wanton moans spilt from her lips.
The man stood behind her, posed between her parted legs. His eyes were closed in delight as he took his pleasure from the woman in front of him. The hand not fisted in her hair was pressed hard into her lower back, holding his lover in place. His well toned body moved steadily with every deep thrust, expanding and contracting the muscles visibly. The dark tone of his skin made it impossible to tell who he was, the candle barely highlighted the thin sheet of sweat covering the lovers.
To Ginny's horror, the two stiffened as they found the height of their pleasure and her best friend moaned the name of her lover.
“Blaise.”
She ran from the room and down the halls, not worrying about possibly getting caught. The portrait opened for her with a whispered password, allowing her admittance into the Gryffindor common room. Her brother, Harry and Hermione looked up from their spots on the plush red couches.
“Merlin, Gin, you look like you have seen a Dementor,” Ron exclaimed.
“Ronald,” Hermione scolded, “you should be more worried about the fact that she was out after curfew.”
“I think she is a big girl, Hermione,” Harry chided, “she must have had a good reason for being out so late.”
“You are just siding with her because she is your girlfriend,” Ron huffed.
Ginny sighed, knowing she wouldn't get away from them and sat herself down next to her boyfriend. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her against his side. His lips gently caressed the crown of her head in a gentle reassuring manor.
“It wasn't anything really. Xavia went missing after dinner and I thought she might be in the dungeons so I went down there to look and I couldn't find her so I came back. I really didn't feel like getting detention,” she shrugged and curled further into Harry's side.
“What happened, did some Slytherins give you a hard time,” her brother demanded angrily.
“No, Ron, I'm serious. Nothing happened. I was just spooked. I thought I heard Filch so I ran.”
“Will you be waiting up for your friend,” Harry asked gently, “we were just about to head to bed.”
“Yeah. Sleep well guys,” she kissed him softly on the lips before shooing the seventh years to their dorms.
To Ginny it felt like an eternity before the common room portrait opened and her friend walked in. The only indication of what she had done that evening was her wayward hair, the blonde curls bouncing in a messy tangle on her back. Her unique silvery blue eyes shone with happiness and a beautiful smile stretched her lush pink lips.
“Oh, hey Gin,” Xavia greeted cheerily as she plopped down on the love seat closest to the fire.
Ginny watched her for a moment, her tongue swollen in her mouth. The scene from earlier replied in her mind bring a dark blush to her cheeks highlighting the cinnamon coloured freckles that dusted her face. Anger bubbled viscously in her chest. Xavia cheated on her boyfriend, with bloody Blaise Zabini, and here she sat without even an ounce of guilt!
“How could you,” the worlds leaked from her mouth before she could stop them.
“What do you mean,” Xavia's brow scrunched in confusion.
“How can you just sit here like this,” Ginny waved her hands wildly gesturing at the blonde, “when you just cheated on your boyfriend.”
Blue eyes widened in shock, her face contorted in dismay, “oh... oh... you saw?”
“I saw and heard you. How could you cheat on Wyatt with none other then Blaise Zabini? What in the bloody hell are you thinking?”
“Ginny,” her friend reach out and laid a soft hand on her arm, “I'll explain everything, you just have to calm down.”
“How am I suppose to calm down? I just walked in on my best friend getting shagged by one of our most hated enemies!”
“Please,” Xavia pleaded, “if you keep yelling the others will wake up.”
Ginny took a deep calming breath and sat back on the couch. Her head lulled back and her eyes closed. Xavia would never do something like this. She had always been loyal to Wyatt. The two had been dating for almost three years now. The thought of a potion or spell ran through her mind, but she quickly ruled it out. Something had to have happened for her friend to do such a horrible thing to her boyfriend.
But, what happened in that class room just didn't fit her personality. Her kind heart and gentle nature was so very different from the Slytherins dark words and cruel attitudes. No one would ever suspect something like this from her, ever. Even after witnessing what she had, Ginny still could hardly believe her innocent, loving, kind and gentle best friend had committed such an act.
“Okay, I'm ready to listen,” she sat up straight, pinning her friend with her chocolate coloured eyes, “how long as this been going on?”
“Since mid-September,” Xavia sighed, wrapping her arms around her body in a form of self-comfort.
“That's... that's two months,” Ginny gasped.
“I never meant for this to happen,” the blonde looked away, afraid of what her friend thought about her.
“Start from the beginning,” the redhead demanded, “I want to understand.”
With a nod of her head she began.
~~~Flash Back~~~
Xavia stood, leaning against a large oak tree. Her eyes roamed the lake that reflected the beautiful sunset. Wyatt's hand wrapped around her's and gently tugged her into his lap. She smiled and cuddled into his chest, enjoying his warmth as they watched the day end together. School had barely been in session for a few days, but Wyatt had demanded for her attention. The three months of summer had kept them apart and they had missed each other.
“With N.E.W.T.S coming up this year, I'm afraid we might not get to spend much time together,” Wyatt sighed.
“Your education is important. We will find a way to work around it,” she pressed a soft kiss to his neck before pulling back and smiling at him.
“I'm sure we will,” his dipped down and sealed their lips together.
She shut her eyes with a soft contented sigh. Her arms wrapped around his neck and held him close. The kiss was soft and sweet and ended just as quickly as it had be begun.
“We should head in,” he whispered softly.
“Yeah, it's getting late,” she glanced over at the rapidly descending sun, “go on. I'll head in, in a moment. I just need to collect my robes.”
“Good night, Vi,” Wyatt called to her as he trudged his way back to the castle.
“Good night Wyatt.”
Xavia turned and headed down the path her and Wyatt and walked before stopping to watch the sun. She panicked when she found her robes were missing off the boulder she had store them on. A quick search around the large rock left her empty handed.
“Looking for something, Johnston,” Blaise drawled, her robes draped delicately over his left arm.
“What do you want, Zabini,” she glanced nervously at the intimidating boy.
Standing at six foot two Blaise easily towered over her short frame of only five foot four. His obsidian eyes roamed over her form giving her the feeling of a predator stalking his prey. Self-consciously she crossed her arms over her chest in an attempt to hide her figure, instead it accented her d-cup breasts and pulled her shirt tighter against her slim waist and flat stomach.
“You and your boyfriend don't look like you have much passion between you two,” he observed blandly.
“What would you know,” she huffed.
“What wouldn't I know,” he grinned taking a couple steps towards her, bending down till their faces were only inches apart, “I bet when he kisses you, you don't feel hot and bothered. When he touches you, your skin doesn't tingle and beg for more.”
Xavia rolled her eyes, “as if any of that is real. That's just stuff they put in romance books.”
“What if I can prove you wrong,” he raised an eyebrow.
A blush settled over her cheeks, “I have a boyfriend.”
“It's just one harmless kiss.”
“Will you give me back my cloak?”
“Yes.”
“Just one kiss.”
Blaise leaned forward, Xavia's breath hitched in anticipation. Their lips touched sending a shiver of delight down her spine. Her eyes slid shut and on their own accord her arms wrapped around his shoulders and the fingers of her right hand tangled themselves in his dark locks. His hands palmed her back and tugged her forward, holding her softly against him.
As his hands explored her body, they left tingles in their wake, burning like a small fire just under her skin. He gripped the back of her head and the other gently cupped her hips, grinding her against his body. His tongue darted out and encouraged her lip's to part. Eagerly she opened for him, allowing her tongue to search his mouth as his explored her's.
Warmth pooled in her lower half, the liquid heat fuelling a fire that she had never felt before. Never had she felt this way with Wyatt. She was happy with him, she could not deny that, but he had never made her feel so needy, so hot and lustful. She had never gotten so much pleasure from just a snog. In fact, they almost never kissed any more, choosing instead to simply cuddle.
Blaise pulled away from their kiss to trail his lips down her neck, his voice low and husky “believe me now?”
A soft moan escaped her, “yes.”
She stumbled for a brief moment when he pulled away from her completely. He pressed her cloak into her hands. Momentarily stunned, she watched as he spun around and began walking away.
“What were you trying to prove,” she questioned, rushing forward to trail beside him.
“I was simply showing you what you were missing,” Blaise smirked, out of the corner of his eye he could see the heavy lustful flush of her cheeks.
“But, I'm not missing anything,” she denied, “I'm happy with Wyatt.”
“Is being happy truly enough,” he asked her seriously.
“Yes, of course,” he could tell she honestly believed her words, “I still don't understand what you have to gain from this.”
“I got to snog a Gryffindor,” he laughed.
“That's it?”
“What more is there?”
That night as she laid in bed, she pondered over his words. Was being happy truly enough? It had been for the past two years and yet, now it just didn't seem like enough. She wanted to feel what Blaise had done to her again. She felt alive, wanton and free. In that moment, she had felt needed, wanted. It was the most amazing feeling, one Wyatt had never given her.
~~~End of Flash Back~~~
“As the days passed, Blaise would corner me more and more. Our snogging became more regular, hotter, wilder,” Xavia sighed, “then one day we got lost in the moment and went to far. I tried to call it quits after that. I truly did. But, sex with Blaise... it is amazing. The way I feel, the way he makes me feel... I can't even describe it and sex with Wyatt doesn't even come close.”
“Why don't you dump Wyatt then,” Ginny asked softly.
“I can't Ginny,” she tucked her legs up on the couch and buried her face into them, “I hate what I'm doing to him. I hate knowing that whenever I'm with him, the only thoughts on my mind are of what Blaise and I will be doing later that night. But, if I break up with Wyatt then I won't be able to keep seeing Blaise. I wouldn't have an excuse when I come in late and no one can know about us.”
“Is he ashamed of you?”
“I don't think that is it. It's just we aren't in love with each other, we aren't dating and my life would become a living hell if everyone knew I was 'shagging the enemy'.”
Ginny watched her with hard eyes, “are you sure you don't love him?”
“I'm sure,” Xavia gave her a soft smile, “it's just the things he does to me. Even the simplest of touches leaves me tingling and needy. The way he makes me feel is incredible. Does Harry make you feel that way?”
Startled at the question she shook her head, “no. No he doesn't, I thought the way you did, that it was all just a bunch of none sense.”
“I can assure you, it's not.”
“It's not in my place to tell you what you can and can't do. I just... cheating is wrong,” Ginny sighed.
“I know,” tears gently slipped down her cheeks, dropping softly on her bare legs.
The redhead moved onto the love seat and pulled her friend against her, wrapping her up in her arms trying to comfort her. Soft sobs racked her body as she clung like a child to her friend. She felt so guilty about what she was doing to Wyatt and yet, no matter how many times she had tried to stop, she just couldn't. Every time she attempted to break it off with Blaise, they would end up in a tangle of limbs. Every time she tried to tell Wyatt about her cheating and break it off with him, she would lose her nerve and end up crying herself to sleep because of her cowardice.
“Hey, I'm here for you,” Ginny whispered, “I'll help you in any way I can. This has to be hard for you.”
“Thank you,” Xavia spoke in-between sobs, “so very much.”
