(Author's note: I meant to add this a few weeks ago, but time got away from me. Without further ado, on we go.)
Harry gasped for breath as he ran, his green eyes wide with panic. He could hear the scuttling of many large legs through the brush, could almost feel the hairy bodies of the great spiders. He wondered how it had come to this. At one moment they had been trying to defend themselves against the verbal attacks of the centaurs, the next they were fleeing for their life as the acromantulas swarmed towards them.
Harry had gotten separated from Hermione, as he had desperately pleaded with the centaur that had hung back to keep an eye on the humans. He wanted to make sure Hermione got out, even at the expense of his own life. It was likely his determination to protect his friend, even at his own sacrifice, that had decided the centaur, who had agreed to lead Hermione back to the correct path whilst Harry led the spiders away from the school.
Harry's thoughts were caught short as his foot caught in a root, and he was sent flying. His running momentum caused him to land on the top of a slope. He had a few seconds to look down, to see that the slope ended in a cliff. He could see, even from his position, the wide, fast moving river that was at the bottom of that cliff. And he had no doubt that there were sharp rocks at the bottom as well, to shatter his bones. Then he started sliding, the closeness of the river to the slope causing the ground to be slick with mud and mist.
He would reflect, later, that the slope had saved his life, as the spiders had finally caught up to him only to lose him at the last moment. As he was sent over the cliff, and hung for a brief second over the river, he could hear their shrieks of anger at the denied meal even over the roaring water. Then he fell, down, down, down....until he landed in freezing cold water. The river was so deep that he never reached the bottom, even with the speed with which he'd fallen. He couldn't think on that, though, as he had to kick and claw at the water to reach the surface.
His head final broke water, and he took in a desperate breath of clean air, his lungs burning. He found that, despite the rapid pace of the water, there were no rocks to make it choppy. As long as he kicked water and held his head up, there was little enough chance of drowning. He was sure that he would eventually get exhausted, but he hoped to find a river bank before that happened.

Hermione shuddered as her breathing burned her lungs. She had finally made her way out of the Forest, and she could see the DA rushing up to meet her. When they asked where Harry was, she explained to them what had happened, and the terrible decision that he had been forced to make. And to further dampen their spirits, great thunder clouds began to roll in from the north, carrying with them a cold wind.
It was a dispirited, and hopeless group that re-entered the school, only to be met by the bat of the dungeons. Snape's face darkened further when he saw that Harry was not with them. He snarled out "Where is Potter, Granger?" Hermione sighed to herself, but retold the tale she had told to her friends. It was then that she saw something she had never dreamed of seeing. Snape, already pale, turned a ghostly white, his voice horse as he muttered "If Potter survives, he could end up anywhere in the Forbidden Forest." It was definitely not a cheerful thought.

3 days later
Harry sighed, and stoked the fire with more twigs. He decided he was damned lucky. He had survived the trip down the river, though he'd gotten banged up a little when he'd reached some sudden rapids. He still bore the bruises for that little ride. Another stroke of luck was that, somehow, he had managed to hold onto his wand. The bad news was that his clothes were really beginning to stink from the mud and the days of wearing it with no change of clothing.
Harry wasn't normally picky, and really could care less what he looked like. But when he started smelling himself, he knew that it was time to clean his clothes. He just really hated to be so vulnerable when he had no protection outside of his wand. He didn't even have a proper blanket to keep warm. The storm that had blown in that first night had brought with it unrelenting cold, with a wind that eventually drove off the storms. He reflected that the Dementors must be out in force for the summer wind to be so cold, even in the day time.
Deciding there was no help for it, he stripped down to his birthday suit. Heading over to the river bank, he grabbed a piece of rock to Transfigure it as best he could to a bar of soap. He had once asked Mrs. Weasley to show him some household charms and spells, and had practiced in secret until he had relatively mastered them. He had decided a long time ago that he was going to need them to get by once he left school. He just hadn't figured he would need it this soon.
With careful precision and ease of long practice, Harry washed his uniform, school robes and underwear until the mud was out and they smelled clean. He then hung them up on a low branch, intending to wash himself in the river while they dried. He never heard, or suspected that there was anyone but him in the Forest; that was probably why it came as such a surprise to Harry when he came out of the river, and found everything but his school robes missing, and those having a large hole in the back. He was glad that he had kept his wand on hand while he washed, even if it got a little wet. Better wet, than stolen, he figured.
With a sigh, Harry slipped into his mostly dry robes. There was nothing he could do about the hole in the back, as he didn’t have a needle or thread. Concentrating, he waved his wand while saying “Accio Fish.” He was hungry, and he didn’t have the physical endurance to go fishing in that cold water.
After eating, he tossed the bones into the fire, sated. Yawning, he laid down next to the fire to get some much needed sleep. His body and mind were being worn thin with the worry and stress at not knowing if he was going to survive, or if Hermione had survived. So it was with a heavy heart that he closed his eyes, falling into a fitful sleep.
Only to be woken up several hours later to the sound of familiar howling. Grabbing his wand, he jumped to his feet. He knew that howl, had heard it two years ago during that fateful night when Peter had escaped. It still scared him, and he knew that he had to get away from there as fast as he could. Glancing at the trees proved to him that there wasn’t a branch within reach that wasn’t also in reach of a werewolf. That only left running, but which way should he go?
He would still have been pondering over it had not another howl sounded, sending him running pell-mell down a barely clear animal trail. His panic was not as great as it was with the spiders, as he had not seen the beast. But he was still terrified enough to keep going, putting on fresh bursts of speed whenever he heard a howl.
His feet soon carried him to a clearing, lit by the full moon. He realized with dismay that he had been shepherded there like a blind sheep by the wolf’s crafty nature, for he saw the beast across the clearing from him.
Harry examined the creature, noting that it was far larger than Lupin had been. It had pure white fur, with a black bird across its barrel chest. It walked with an assured air, its tail swaying like that of an alpha. Harry’s eyes soon locked with the wolf, and he was stunned by what he saw. The eyes were typical amber gold, but there was an intelligence that Lupin had lacked. This was no moon-maddened beast, but a cruel and decisive human mind within the powerful wolf body.
Harry was frozen in place by that gaze, that ultimate hunter gaze. He whimpered under his breath, his heart hammering with true panic. The refrain ‘gonna die gonna die gonna die’ kept running through his head. He made an effort to back up, as hard as it was to move under that gaze, only to freeze as the beast bared its teeth.
His mind tried to work frantically, searching his brain for any ideas as to get out of this mess. Werewolves were notorious for being somewhat immune to most spells, their hides too thick to be penetrated by anything stronger than steel-braced silver. Then his feverish thoughts came across something: wolves didn’t kill those that showed proper respect.
He would never know why he did it, but his body lowered itself onto all fours. He hunched himself low to the ground, letting out a gentle whimper to try and prevent the wolf from becoming aggressive toward him. The beast seemed pleased, if the open mouth with the tongue hanging out was anything to go by. It then began to walk around Harry, still eyeing him like he was a piece of steak.
Harry was mostly an innocent when it came to sex, though he had found out some time ago that he did like males. He just had never engaged in any horseplay. So when the wolf started to mount him from behind, he began to scramble away in a panic. Only to be put in his place by a snarl and a stern paw on his chest.
Then came the worst moment of Harry’s life, as the beast pushed against him with something hard and hot; the pain came after that, first as a sort of localized pressure in his rear end, building to an ache that radiated from there. The pain settled down briefly as he felt the wolf’s legs and crotch come flush up against him, only to sear to higher levels as the pounding began.
He felt himself ripping, felt wetness being moved about. Then he felt the beast push in one last time, with something that kept getting bigger until it felt like his behind would split apart from it. Harry squeezed, trying to get the intruding thing out. He realized it was a mistake as he felt splash after splash of warm wetness flood his bowels. There was so much of it that it started to eke out a little, even with the plug there.
Harry’s front end collapsed to the ground, the paw having released him to support the wolf on top of him. He felt shame fill his stomach like the beast’s seed was filling his bowels as he realized he had just been bred like a bitch. Hot tears streaked down his cheeks, and he let himself slump as much as possible without hurting himself. He was, after all, still tied to the wolf.
Soon enough, though it felt like a life time, the beast pulled out of Harry and trotted off, leaving a wet trail on Harry’s robes as it walked over him. Harry curled up on himself, holding his gut which ached. He felt the seed dribbling out, coating his legs as he just lay there. He eventually got up, and limped back to camp, exhausted and in pain.
The night was terrible for Harry, but he did manage to sleep. In the morning, he found his clothes returned to him, and his robes repaired. He soon realized that the prior night’s activities were why the human had cut the hole to begin with. Getting dressed, he gripped his wand. It was time to make his way back to the castle. He had stayed too long recovering, when he should have been searching for it all along. He would regret his decision the rest of his life, but that regret was pushed aside in favor of getting back first. He would dwell on cursing himself later.
