  Hermione's Poem

  Hermione Granger, that is my name
  
  One of my best friends hates the other’s fame
  
  And always prefers to play some stupid game
  
  Chess, food and Quidditch, it’s always the same
  
  Frankly speaking, I think that’s quite lame

  Sometimes I wonder why I still call him a friend
  
  Because, honestly, he’s not exactly a god-send
  
  What he says is far too often meant to offend
  
  and talks while he’s eating, is it so hard to understand
  
  that when I say that that’s gross, it’s really what I meant?

  Okay, so sometimes I might nag a bit much
  
  Tell him that he needs to study properly and such
  
  Tell him to wash his face, ‘cause it’s got some smudge
  
  Remind him that at times, he’s a bit too fast to judge
  
  Ask him if it’s not time to let go of a grudge

  And yes, I know a lot and I’m proud of it
  
  Might be a Gryffindor, but with a Ravenclaw’s wit
  
  So I show off my knowledge as and when I see fit
  
  But that doesn’t mean Ron has to be such a git
  
  Really, he doesn’t know when he should quit

  Yet somehow strangely I am attracted to him
  
  I dreamt of going together on a moonlit swim
  
  Thought of how cute he’d look if he’d give his hair a trim
  
  Been wanting to just kiss him on a whim
  
  and to cheer him up when he’s looking grim

  I have absolutely no idea why I feel the way I do
  
  For the first time in my life, I really have no clue
  
  For this attraction really came out of the blue
  
  I just so dearly hope he’s in love with me too
  
  Just being near him feels too good to be true

  I’m happy to know that Harry won’t be sad,
  
  for I sure  wouldn’t want him to feel bad
  
  But he’s in love with Ginny, he recently said
  
  I’m so glad that the Weasleys crossed our path
  
  They have so much to our lives to add

  Yes, our love stories really have a lot in kind,
  
  Wait, now that I think about it in my mind
  
  It’s a bit strange how much they’re entwined,
  
  At the same time in love with a Weasley, we find?
  
  I’m not one to curse, but damn, we’ve been blind!

  This kind of obsessive love is not part of my nature
  
  Only two days ago, I found Ron to be immature
  
  Goodness, I do hope that for this, there is a cure
  
  Now that I know the truth, I feel so impure
  
  We’ve been tricked by a potion or spell, that’s for sure
