I watched the two boys that had provided the last six years with plenty of intense firework displays that have went down in the history of our school.
Sometime during the last year, that all changed, if possible their fights became electrified.
Several times during one of the spats, the bystanders were required a stay in the hospital wing for over two or three weeks to unveil the multiple combinations of spells cast.
For an example, Harry, Ron, and I were leaving the Halloween Feast when Malfoy and his cronies stopped I front of us.
“Hey Saint Potter, is it true that you are still a virgin?”
Watching from behind I could see that Harry was about to retort and I intervened, “Unfortunately Malfoy not all of us jump in the bed with anything that has two legs.”
Malfoy sneered, “I was talking to Potter, Mudblood. Besides I haven’t slept with you yet so…”
Harry’s curse sent Malfoy back about twenty feet, “Malfoy if I can refrain from insulting your whore, you can refrain from insulting my mudblood.” Harry spat the last part out like one of Snape’s potions.
Malfoy stood from the floor with his wand out, “At least my whore services my every need what about you Potter, you have someone to service you every need?”
“Fuck you Malfoy.”
Those were the last words passed between the boys as they both began to throw curses. Several students sent to the Hospital Wing and a livid Potions Professor later, Harry, and Malfoy ended up to three months of detention and neither returned to their respected dorms until early morning.
Though no one knew why Harry returned so late/early though Gryffindor courage be damned when dealing with an irate Harry Potter.
Several times, Professor Snape and Hagrid dragged the two physically to the headmaster's office who shook his head disappointing at the two combatants.
The problem though, was that I think I was the only one that notice the heated stares, the underlying meanings in their threats and the casual threatening praise given to one another.
In all came to a climax the day of our graduation though. Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape insisted that the two shake hands right before closing speech was made by Professor Dumbledore.
I watched as the two stepped towards each other, each extending a hand as though the mere thought of touching each other would be horrible.
Clashing hands, the Hall watched anxiously as words were swapped between the two.
Teachers reached for their wands when both started shows signs of anger before they did the unthinkable, pulled the other in for a kiss.
Several of the students passed out though most were groaning at the lost of the two hottest guys while the teachers gave fishes a run for their money with their gaping mouths.
The power behind the kiss shocked everyone including the headmaster.
It was clearly from the way the two reacted to the other they had been passionate with the other for a while.
After a minute of watching I realized one thing, the sight was hot.
Once the two pulled apart, our two leaders of the war gave us another shock.
The amount of love in both of their eyes stunned everyone.
As the two left the Hall hand in hand, I smiled, "I knew it."
