Chapter 1: The Beginning
Cold always cold this castle no matter where he went. Always dark and cold, that's all he's ever known. No love, no compassion, just the cold and the dark. But he had a mission and that mission was to take back what was rightfully his and his followers. War was coming and this time he was sure they wouldn't loose. Not with this power raging inside of him ready to be released. Nothing and no one will stand in his way not this time. It was just a matter of time until the real work would begin.
Something happened he could feel it and it wasn't a good feeling. He rushed to his master's bed chambers and he had to wake him to tell him the news. It was the middle of the night and he knew his master would be angry for waking him but this couldn't wait. He knocked loudly on the door hoping his master was still awake. He heard his footsteps and was greeted by a man with long black and sliver hair with a beard to accompany it. He looked at his master's tired angry eyes, "What is it that you have to disturb my sleep Goyle?" he asked in a gruff tired voice."My lord something terrible has happened."
It wasn't long until the man was in front of the oraphanage where two little babies were quitely sleeping in their baskets. For the first time he felt something. He didn't know what it was but he knew these two were now going to be under his protection. He looked up at the stars and saw four that were brightly shinning. He closed his eyes, "Don't worry I will take care of them," he whispered to the sky. He picked up one of the baskets and Goyle grabbed the other. He knew this time would come but he didn't know it would be this soon.
He would take them under his wing teach them everything. Educate them, teach them how to control their magic, how to fight, how to use their power, how to use their strengths and never fail at anything. He would raise these two as if they were his own. He knew their parents and they were his most loyal followers. He trusted them with everything and now they were gone. Their fathers and their mothers taken away leaving them to defend for themselves. He wouldn't let them go hungry or homeless. He was now their protector.
Back at the castle he made sure their room was ready until they two boys were old enough to have their own rooms. He made sure they would be taken care of day and night until they could do things themselves. He wasn't going to let anyone hurt them. Not under his constant watch.
When he settled them into their seperate cribes he looked at them both and gave them a small smile, "I vow to protect you both until my last dying breath," with that he told Goyle to send word across the water about the events that have happened.
In another dark castle a man rushed to the Great Hall with a small paper in hand. He burst through the doors interupting a meeting and went straight to the man sitting at the head of the table. "Urgent from across the water," the man whispered to the other and gave him the small piece of paper and then hurriedly walked out. The man waited for him to leave and once he was out of sight he read the words on the paper and stood up. He couldn't believe what he read and everyone at the table looked at him waiting for him to say something."My fellow lords and laidies it is with a heavy heart that I say this," he said slowly but then continued, "It seems that Lord Dragonus has lost four of his faithful servents. They left behind a son each. Now the sons are left without parents. We know who is responsible and we will have them pay." The table erupted with loud yells. Everyone knew the Knights and the Borums their familes have been faithful for years and now that they were gone it was time for revenge.
In the dungeons of another castle a room surrouded with potions, cauldrons, and desks a man was sitting behind a bigger desk going through his papers. "I know you're there what news do you bring," he said slowly not looking up from what he was working on. "Severus, they are gone," the small man said. Severus stood up and walked over to him, "Don't you dare lie to me Wormtail!" His eyes were a blaze with anger and he wished what he heard wasn't true. Wormtail nodded sadly, "I'm afraid so. The Dark Lord asked to tell you of this grave news. He also wishes when the boys come of age to start learning that you will teach them."Severus nodded, "Of course by all means I will. Is it who I think it is?" Wormtail nodded and he turned to leave. Severus, "Thank you," he whispered as the other man left. It was too soon for them to go and this wasn't supposed to happen. He knew where his trust lies and being on both sides was hard on him, but this crossed the line. They were his dearest friends and they were taken away from him. He couldn't spy for each side anymore. From now one his trust was to the Dark Lord.
In the same castle an older man was just about to go to his bed chambers when a witch around his age caught up to him, "Albus I have wonderful news," she told him with a smile.
"What is it Minerva?"
"They found them and they are now gone," she told him and gave him a small huge. "That is wonderful news but I'm sure it was a terrible terrible battle. I'm sure they fought bravely for what they believed in and they were very fine warriors in their own right." He was glad at a major threat was gone but he knew that he didn't want them to die. He always saw the good in people and he always knew that even though there was a darkness out there somewhere there was a light.
"Did they have any children?"
"They each had a son"
"Do we know where they are?"
She shook her head, "They dissappeared before they could get to them." He just nodded.
Back at the dark castle Lord Dragonus was making plans for the two boys. Soon as they were grown he would make sure they had the best education there was, and once they were of age he would officially hand down his wisdom to them. They were going to take over when he deicded they were ready. For right now he was going to take it one day at a time and let them grow at their own pace. There was no need to rush these things. It took time and he had all the time in the world. Soon he would join forces with the others across the water and they will be unstoppable.
The world was quiet for now but soon it won't be so quiet. Soon the world will open up and the threat that everyone thinks is finally gone will come back and will be stronger than ever. For now it's quiet and peaceful but it won't be for long.
