--September 3--
Hermione rolled her eyes. It was only the second day back and already she wanted to hit Ron and Harry (mostly Ron though, seeing as he was doing all the bitching and Harry was making a few threats himself). They were plotting revenge on Malfoy for his start up of his annual “weasel and Mudblood” cracks. She simply couldn't and wouldn't put up with their juvenile cracks anymore, so she decided that points loss would actually be worth their humiliation at being caught. “Sonorous” she muttered. As she had discussed this plan with her fellow Gryffindors previously, all she had to do was stand up and nudge Neville and Ginny, who in turn nudged Seamus, Dean and the twins who covertly cast a spell on themselves, so that they could still hear what she was saying, but not to the deafening tone it would be to everyone else, knowingfull well that Hermione would have cast a simple, yet effective amplifying spell.
“HARRY JAMES POTTER AND RONALD BILIUS WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU BOTH MAKE PLANS TO BULLY ANOTHER STUDENT!! I DON'T CARE IF ANOTHER STUDENT STARTED IT, YOU BOTH SHOULD HAVE DAMN WELL KNOWN BETTER! YOU ARE BOTH GRYFFINDORS! BY MERLIN'S SAGGY BALLS, GODRIC GRYFFINDOR HIMSELF WOULD BE ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE ASHAMED OF YOU TWO !! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSICAL BULLSHIT! ANYMORE OF THIS AND I WRITE TO BOTH OF YOUR PARENTS MYSELF, AND HEX YOU BOTH UNTIL YOUR BALLS SHRIVEL, AND YOU COULDN'T GET IT UP NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY!”
Ginny looked at Hermione and whispered “finite incatatem” and waved her wand in a circle and all of a sudden the groups normal hearing returned and Hermione's voice became normal again. Ginny then grabbed two crystal vials from Fred, and placed her memory of the event in the vials keep a third copy in her head and immediately sent one bottle and a note off with Hedwig to Harry's parents, taking Errol II from George and attaching the vial and note to the birds leg for their parents to see, and a pair of gorgeous silver eyes watched Hermione Ron and Harry being led to Dumbledore's office by McGonagall.
--SEPTEMBER 5--
Lily Potter leaned out of her kitchen window to breathe in the cool autumn air. She then let it out in what can only be described as something like a banshee howl.
"JAMES! OWLS!"
"Coming dear" he called back grabbing Eeylops Finest Owl Treats, and the Perch 'n' Poop tray while levitating bowls of cool water and scurrying to the kitchen table as Lily opened the window wide enough for the two owls supporting each other. Lily caught all three of them in her arms, and brought them to the table, deftly removing the three letters from their legs and placing them upright on the Perch 'n' Poop to rest. James took the first letter and begun to read aloud:
Dear Mr and Mrs Potter,
As Head of Gryffindor house, I regret to inform you that your son HARRY JAMES POTTER, has been placed on year-long probation and priviledges revoked for bullying another student. he is also serving 3 weeks of detention and as he was one part of the duo to bully the student in question he has also had 75 points deducted from Gryffindor

Lily was in shock. Her baby, was a bully? Minevra had to be missing something. James handed her the second letter and she read it out loud.
Dear Mr & Mrs Potter,
I sent you a copy of my memory of Harry & my idiot brother getting yelled at by Hermione, as well as a copy of Hermione's memory so you can look at both to know that Professor Mcgonagall was perfectly right in giving out whatever punishment she did.

Lily was floored. James read the letter again and summoned the Pensieve. He poured the vial marked "Hermione" in first. when they emerged, James was hysterical and trying to say something about showing Moony and Padfoot, but was silenced with a glare.
Harry was going to be in big trouble.
--SEPTEMBER 6--
Following James & Lily viewing the pensieve memories Ginny sent them, Harry received a Howler the very next day, and it was charmed to open at Harry's touch. Sighing he decided to open it and face the music. He knew he just could not get out of it.
“HARRY JAMES POTTER! I AM ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCABLY DISGUSTED BY YOUR ACTIONS! I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH MINERVA'S PUNISHMENT AND FURTHERMORE YOU ARE GROUNDED ON ALL SCHOOLBREAKS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE- shut up, James, it is not funny- AND BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOUR TRIPS TO PADFOOT'S & RONALD'S ARE CANCELLED THIS SUMMER, TOO! YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE, YOUNG MAN!!!”
Just as Harry's Howler erupted into flames, Ron's Howler started up.
“RONALD BILIUS WEASLEY!! I AM ABSOLUTELY MORTIFIED AND DISGUSTED BY YOUR ACTIONS! I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF THEY'D EXPELLED YOU, YOU WAIT TILL I GET HOLD OF YOU, WE DIDN'T BRING YOU UP TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT BACK HOME!!”
As if on cue, the silent Hall was filled with the Slytherin's raucous laughter. All but one Slytherin was laughing. The other Gryffindors the Hufflepuffs and the Ravenclaws all smirked because let's face it, Howlers are funny if you aren't on the receiving end of them.
--Later that day--
Hermione was racing down the corridor to the library when she ran headfirst into a solid roadblock. The roadblock turned out to be none other than Draco Malfoy.
“Careful there, Granger” he said automatically steadying her by grabbing her arms so she didn't tumble to the floor. “You'll end up on your arse one of these days.
“Well, I won't land on my arse if you are always around to catch me” she responded. “You're my personal hero” she added sarcastically, but with no malice toward her friend. Albeit a secret friend, but a friend nonetheless. He gave a trademark patented Malfoy-esque smirk and bid her farewell. “Until Potions, Miss Granger”
“Until Potions, Mister Malfoy” she returned with a smile and a wave.
Draco watched Hermione go, and spun on his heel to head off to the Room of Requirement all the way up on the seventh floor. Today was the day. He could feel a sense of excitement as he thought very carefully about what he needed. He only had twenty minutes to cast the spell. As he entered the room, he approached the vial of carefully brewed potion that would enable him to see a different future, one full of possibilities. He slugged back the potion & recited the incantation on the piece of parchment he had written at the library.
“Inner eye let me see,
things that could be.
Things that are,
Become things that could be
Dazzle me like a star”
There was a great flash of blue light, and a slight shaking of the ground, exactly as the book described, and then Draco went off to class, thinking the spell hadn't worked. Oh, how wrong he was.
