Hey guys! this is just a quick short story that I've been thinking about for a while now. I have not given up on JADIP, I just needed a break as well as waiting for my sister to finish correcting it. That should be posted in the next couple of days. I just thought that I would get this one on here and see what everyone thought. Please review.
Closure was all he wanted. Was that seriously too much to ask for? It had been four and a half months since Draco last saw her, or even talked to her for that matter. But tonight was his and his mother’s third annual charity ball for Potter’s orphanage, as well as, the Christmas Party everyone always talked about for months afterwards.
Ever since probably half way through their eighth year, which was 4 years ago, Draco had become friends with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. No matter how hard he tried, his feelings for the witch only grew, and became more noticeable to, well, everyone. Everyone, but her. Draco still remembers everything Harry had told him to do.
“Hermione is incredibly smart-“
“I know this.”
“But doesn’t know a thing about relationships.” Draco and Harry were at the Three Broomsticks one night after work, about six months ago. Harry had approached him in regards to Hermione, and that was when Draco told him the truth about not knowing how to pursue her.
“Hermione wants honesty, as well as someone she doesn’t have to babysit. Independence is a big thing for her.”
A knock at the door pulled Draco from his thoughts. “Enter” he said as he checked his appearance one last time.
“You are really trying to impress her, aren’t you?” Draco turned to see his childhood best friend, Blaise Zabini, standing at the door.
“Is it that obvious?” Draco asked looking at his robes again. His robe, shirt, and pants were a deep blue while his vest and bowtie were a dark purple.
“Well, we all know that purple is her favorite color, and blue is yours. It may be darker versions, but not dark enough that you can’t tell what the colors are. Anyway, Pansy and Theo are downstairs talking to your mother. She wanted me to come get you because the guests are arriving.”
Draco nodded and followed Blaise downstairs to the foyer, where he was expected to greet the guests. For the next thirty to forty-five minutes, Draco greeted the guests with a nervous smile, eagerly waiting for Hermione. When the last guest had been greeted and walked away, Draco slumped his shoulders, looking downcast.
“My dear son, what has got you looking so gloom right now?” Narcissa linked her arm through her sons and together they made their way into the ballroom.
“I was just hoping I would get the chance to talk to someone, but it looks like they didn’t come.”
“Well, don’t think about that too much right now. I need you to talk to Harry about his goals for tonight. Then you and I can talk later about what is bothering.”

Across the room, Hermione stood with Ginny, Harry, Ron, Lavender, Pansy, Theo and Blaise. Hermione’s nerves were all over the place. As she stood listening to the conversation, she thought back to the last time she was at Malfoy Manor, four and a half months ago.
She and Draco had just been on their third date. They were in a very heated snogging session when Draco apperated them straight into his bedroom. They wasted no time undressing each other and falling right onto the bed. Thanks to the alcohol they had consumed, Hermione was already wet. Draco quickly lined himself up and pushed right in. both moaned in pleasure, but as soon as he started to pull out, so he could quicken his pace, there was a knock at his door.
“Draco? You in there?”
“Wait for me in the study, Blaise,” Draco had shouted. “I’ll be in there in a little bit.”
“Hermione!” Ginny whispered harshly. “Snap out of it. Draco is on his way over here!”
Hermione turned from the group and noticed that Draco was, indeed, making his way towards them. Currently he was standing maybe 20 feet away, talking with some guests. As if sensing her look, Draco turned to her and their eyes met. Butterflies filled her stomach as he excused himself and made his way over.
“Hi” he said not taking his eyes off her.
“Hi,” she breathed in return. “Umm…nice party.”
“Yeah, umm…thanks. I’m supposed to be asking Harry about his goals for tonight, but I was wondering…er…would you…er…join me for a…umm…walk in the gardens? Super isn’t to start for another 30 minutes.”
“Umm…” she thought about it for a moment. Did she really want to discuss everything right now? She was about to decline when she felt a small push on her back. “Sure.”
Hermione followed Draco through the crowd, clutching her bag with both hands so she didn’t have to hold onto his arm. Once outside, she breathed in the cool air. “Heating charms?” She asked looking at all the flowers in full bloom. She also noticed that it wasn’t as cold as it should be when snowing.
“Yes, mother loves her flowers.” She could see a small smile on his lips. Oh, how she longed to feel them on her skin again, but she knew the possibility was very small. So she kept her hands to herself and continued looking solely at the flowers.

Two whole minutes had passed since either of them spoke. As they passed a certain rose bush, Draco stopped and cut one off. He turned ad handed it to Hermione.
“A purple rose?” She asked in awe as she took it.
“Surprisingly enough, Mother’s favorite color is also purple. Since mine is blue, she charmed these roses to be both purple and blue.” Draco held the bottom of the stem and rolled in between his fingers so it would turn and Hermione could see both colors.
“Thank you.” Hermione smiled and smelled her rose
Draco led her to a bench and sat down. Once she had sat as well, he turned to her with sadness in his eyes. “Why did you leave that night, Hermione?”
He noticed that she was avoiding looking at him. “I overheard your conversation with Blaise about almost being rid of me. I figured that being with me was just a joke. So I took Kingsleys offer. My parents were going on vacation in Italy anyway, so I just tagged along with them and did my mission.”
Draco scrunched his eyebrows together. “When did I – oh! You must have heard me talking about Astoria.”
“Astoria? Daphne’s sister?”
“Yes. I broke off our engagement back in February and she’s been trying to get back at me since. You thought I was talking about you?” Hermione didn’t know what to say so she just nodded. “I wish you had stayed just a little bit longer. Blaise asked who I was with and I told him all about you. Well, not all about you. But that we had started dating.” Draco moved off the bench and kneeled in front of her. “Hermione, I know three dates doesn’t seem like a lot, but that’s all it took for me to fall madly in love with you.”
“You love me?” Hermione replied in a quiet voice.
“More than you will ev-“ Draco was knocked backwards when Hermione launched herself at him, covering him with kisses.
“I love you, too” she said as she lay almost on top of him, smiling.
“Would you object if we took this somewhere a little more secluded?” Draco watched her bite her bottom lip and smile as she shook her head. Draco smiled. “Follow me,” he said standing with her and leading her to his secret garden.
They, once again, wasted no time, once the door had shut. Draco’s lips were on her as he gently pushed her against the tree. He was eagerly bringing her dress up to her waist as she was hastily opening his robes and started undoing his pants. As soon as Draco’s eight and a half inches were freed, Draco pulled Hermione’s panties to the side and guided himself in. Hermione wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his hips.
No sooner had Draco buried himself completely inside her dripping pussy, he heard someone walking closer to his garden. “Draco? You in there?”
Draco quickly locked the door, but before he could respond, Hermione spoke up. “Damn it, Blaise! What do you need?”
The handle started to wiggle. “What do you need Blaise?” Draco asked again as he slowly started to pull out.
“You’re mother is looking for you. She says it’s almost time for super.”
“I’ll be up there shortly.” Draco said pushing back in.
“I’ll let her know.”
As soon as the footsteps faded, Draco threw up a silencing charm. “What is it with him and always interrupting?”
Hermione laughed, causing her walls to clench around Draco’s throbbing member. “We should probably hurry.”
“Keep that up and I’m not going to last long at all.” Draco quickened his pace, trying to get closer to her with every thrust, but to no avail.
“Oh, right there. Faster,” she said. Draco brought one arm around to her front and started rubbing her clit. “Oh, gods. Oh, Merlin. Yes,” she yelled.
“I’m going to cum,” Draco said as he started to pull out.
Hermione locked her legs, pulling him closer. “It’s safe to cum inside me,” she said smiling.
Draco smiled to as he pumped faster. One, two, three thrusts and he emptied himself inside her. Breathing heavily, he set her back down.
Hermione placed feather light kisses all over his neck. “We should probably head back before more people come looking.”
Draco sighed. “I suppose your right.” They righted their clothes and started heading back, hand in hand. “Are you happy?” Draco asked as they reached the steps.
Hermione stopped in front of him and put her arms around his neck. “You are back in my life. I couldn’t be happier.” Hermione placed a tender kiss on his lips.
“Why does it feel like there is a barrier between us? Like I can’t hold you very close.” Draco pulled away to look at her, but before she could respond, Ginny and Pansy called them inside.

“That was really good, I must say,” Hermione said as she put down her fork.
“More champagne?” A waitress asked the table. Everyone had their cups filled, but Hermione put her hand over her glass.
“Water for me please.”
“Ah, time for the speech.” Blaise said as he watched Draco walk onto the stage.
The waitress set Hermione’s water down, but Hermione’s eyes were on Draco.
“Ladies and gentleman. Welcome to our third annual charity ball for the Second Chances Orphanage. My mother and I are glad you are here. Last year, we were able to send eleven children to Hogwarts , all expenses paid. This year we are hoping to send more students as well as keep last years students-“
“Don’t drink that!” Ginny said suddenly. “It was fizzing a few moments ago!”
Hermione put her glass down, very aware that everyone was looking at their table. Harry, being an auror as well, took the glass and began testing it.
“Looks like it was a muggle drug that people use when dating. Where is that waitress!”
Everyone started looking around. “Right here.” Neville and Dean walked, with the waitress between them, through the doors. Her hair was covering her face, but when they got to Harry, Draco spoke.
“Astoria?”
Her head snapped up to see his face.
“Pipsy!” Mrs. Malfoy said. A second later a house elf was by her side. “Please escort Astoria Greengrass out and make sure she can’t get in again.”
“No need Mrs. Malfoy.” Harry said as chains flew out his wand. “Astoria Greengrass you are under arrest.”
Hermione felt a hand on her back and turned to see Draco standing next to her. She put an arm around his back as he pulled her close.
“For what?” Astoria asked.
Hermione was the first to speak. “Other than attempting to drug a ministry official? How about attempted murder.”
“Hermione, we can’t charge her with attempted murder.” Harry said quietly.
Hermione waved her wand and the whole room watched as her glamour charm faded. Her skin tight, barely off the shoulder, purple and blue gown changed to have a flowy bottom that started under her breasts. When her dress was down changing, she held her stomach, as if she were cradling a child. “I am eighteen weeks pregnant. If that drug had entered my body, my child would have died.” Everyone was shocked into silence. “I am carrying the first heir of Draco Malfoy. If you had killed this child, Azkaban would have looked like paradise compared to the hell the pureblood world would have given you.”
“Attempted murder as well.” Harry said still looking at Hermione.
“That explains so much,” Ginny said suddenly. “Like how you’ve been back for a week, but we’ve hardly seen you and when we do, you’re always so tired and never stay long.”
Hermione smiled a little before slowly turning to Draco as conversations started around her. “Are you mad that I didn’t tell you sooner?”
Draco looked into her beautiful brown eyes. “I would have liked to have been told sooner, yes, but because of the misunderstanding between us I understand. I’m not mad.” Hermione smiled. “You just have to understand one thing now.”
“What’s that?”
“You’re stuck with me now.”
Hermione smiled even bigger. “Astoria will never see the light of day again, so she won’t get in the way. And if Blaise could stop interrupting all the time, things will be perfect.” Draco smiled at that and leaned down to kiss her. Everyone stood and cheered. Without any warning, the tables vanished and smaller ones were placed around the outside of the dance floor.
The music started as Blaise shouted, “PARTY!”

Four and a half months later
“Hey, hey everyone!” Ginny said poking her head inside the Nursery. “How’s my niece?”
“Sleeping peacefully,” Draco said. He was sitting in the rocking chair quietly rocking Cassiopeia while Hermione slept in the queen sized bed next to it, having just given birth a few hours ago.
“How’s mum doing?” Harry asked.
“Sleeping peacefully, as well,” Hermione replied. Ginny went right to her. “Though I should probably start moving around because Theo, Pansy and Mrs. Malfoy will be here soon as well.”
“We brought James by as promised,” Ginny said while helping Hermione sit up. “How are you feeling?”
“The potions haven’t completely worn off yet, but I’m sure it’ll hit me in the next few hours.”
Draco brought her a glass of water. “Let me know when you need more potions, love. The doctor said you needed to keep using them for the next couples of days.”
“I know. I should be alright in a few days.” Hermione said looking at Harry as he held Cassiopeia. “We did good, didn’t we?”
“Yes, we certainly did, love.” Draco smiled at her as Harry brought they daughter to them.
And just like that Draco, Hermione, and Cassiopeia lived happily ever after. Well, until Scorpious came along a few years later. By eighteen months old his joy was terrorizing his sister.
